Default I have a 08 350z & I really love this car

Bought it with 2k last Dec. Broke it in the right way. Change oil (mobil1) every 2k miles. Warm ups, not too short or long. Exellerate (on streets) slowly. Shift at low rpm (2k +/-). I left the suspension stock. Lowered the look & improved the handling by using smaller/wider tires/wheels. Tires are 5 star rated Continentals. Sizes, front 235/45/17-rear 275/40/17. Great fun driving on curvy roads of upstate N.Y. I love my 350z.

My pictures are in the drag racing times section. I'm an older guy. I don't know how to bring them here. You can check my car there, or if you can/like to post them here. Both tires & wheels are besides very good(no thump tire noise) priced right.

Welcome!
But really, every 2K mile oil change? You can safely stretch that to 5K easy (especially with the way you drive it ). Save $ for mods...

And let it get to 3K RPMs before up shifting. Try to keep RPMs at 1900 or higher. 'Lugging' an engine at too low an RPM is hard on an engine - you are not doing her any favors!

Thanks, but I also drag race, so the oil change is an investment worth doing. As far as shifting, I shift 2k to 2.5k, thats with 3.90 gears also.
Thanks for your advice. The wear on an engine is much less when engines makes less revolutions(rpm), & gas mileage saving help with Mobil1 oil changes

I don't care for most mods.

I love threads like this, 350Z ftw

Mine was a bit scary at first with a few small issues but my dealer was awesome, took care of everything.

I think owning a Z requires that the owner has a crash course first. The smallest things freaked me out and they turned out to be normal. Many thanks to this forum and its members for honest info.
