Hey Well my car was the first ordered at Stamford motors in conn. and still hasnt arrived. Im assuming all cars that were on the ship from newark already have homes now. I can't explain it any other way?? Stamford is like 2 hrs away, why would it take almost two weeks for it to get there? Anyone have any info? Anyones dealer on the east expecting arrival this week? I think all those go there cars already........

Mine is MIA Too!
I have had a vin since 8/01/02. I believe my car is on the docks at Newark among approx. 1000 cars. Not all are Zcars. Yours , like mine, is probably sitting in the lot awaiting their turn at "liberation". Another problem we face is Nissan is only shipping the Zcars 1 or 2 at a time (according to my sources),
I can't believe I am saying this, Hang tight man, it will be soon.
Having said that, I will now find a corner some place and pray!!!
By the way I am on Long Isalnd, not that far away from you (geographically).

I saw 4 auto carriers stuck in traffic near the George Washington Bridge last friday evening headed into NY. It seems they can only carry Z cars in the rear spaces. Ground clearance is to low to move the cars inside the truck. All 4 I saw each had 2 Z's.. Keep the faith.. It should be there soon.. I have a Sept 12th delivery date on a car ordered 2/12/02

ok.....
OK but how long does it take to go from Newport to Connecticut? 2 hours max, so that means the Z is just sitting there? I have a base Z no options, so its not like there doing anything to it?? Maybe mine wasnt in the first lot? I still hope it was but i dunno. My dealer says to keep calling back daily to see.... So hopefully tommoorw? or friday?

Cars not in Newark?!
Based on some info , from a site member, I found out my car is not in Newark afterall. It is in transit via boat. Now where is that boat??? Possibly the one due in within the week at Newark? Stay tuned for the further adventures of the MIA Zcars.
Maybe that is where all of your cars are too? Getting "sea sick"!

My car is FINALLY on the inventory sheet for my dealer. It JUST showed up, along with 2 others. Funny, they go from 0 - 3 in less than 12 hours!! Woohoo! Needless to say, I'm psyched. I even got goosebumps when I saw it on there...Maybe I'll have it for this weekend for the Z car show! *crossing my fingers*

I just got a call from my dealer in MD and he said that the cars are running behind schedule because of some shipping problems (presumably the limited seating on the truck). Mine was originally due today, the 5th (I'd been hoping for earlier), but now he says it will be here on Saturday because the shipments were two days behind schedule.....shweet!!! I hope the same is true for everyone else and that soon many east coasters will be getting their's too... maybe they stepped up the number of trucks being used.

From what I have been told part of the delay is due to the following;
1. Getting through customs and doing the port side preps
2. Using only Nissan Certified drivers to transport the cars
3. Too few of the certified drivers
I guess it is better they get here in one piece with certified drivers.

Congratulations ZGiRL!
Look forward to seeing pics of your new baby. As for myself, I've been told the end of Sept. but who knows, it may just show up earlier. In either case, I'm excited for everyone getting their cars. See you on the road soon.
