I messed up Z owners :(
ahaha .. Can't fix stupid .
at the time, i thought i was paul walker in my shatty **** saturn going the car's top speed 105 all the way to my gfs house dodging cars wishing i had a wing and bov on my car, never considering the consequences... Now if i had a Z back then, it would FOR SURE be in a ditch smashed to bits.... It is true, stupid drivers think theyre great drivers.... I never even checked for polica before bookin it.....and i considered myself an effing wheelman.....
Now i dont even take off hard from a light unless ive dissected the whole 4 way intersection!!!
A 17y/o CAN be mature.......For their age..... Im 24 and still growing up...
Point being OP, and anyone who cares, tell the 17yo who doesnt drive manual that its a fast car and the fastest way to kill himself or others... or even the precious Z
and i agree, that every Z crashed makes ours more valuable, but im not lookin to sell so BE CAREFUL!!
Good God. How do you go from a 350z to a pick-up truck? That's a downgrade no matter how you look at it.
Trucks are practical and very useful at times, but I would have just bought a second vehicle. A 1k used truck for hauling crap like household appliances.

Just accepting that I'm NOT the best driver in the world was the best thing I did for myself..1 accident and it wasnt my Z!!!! 1 ticket in the Z but thanks to traffic school its NONE!!! Ive had 1 ticket in each of my 3 cars(related to speed anyway) so I'm good...knock on wood
I agree with you, not all 17yrs are bad drivers, actually there's bad drivers at any age as far as that goes, so don't let that bother you at all.
As to taking care of the Z (my car 2003 Track Model Z - bought brand new), I believe I will give anybody competition on how well it's taking care of and I do have lots of second opinions on that one, such as the Nissan Delearship and the Car shop (ZCargarage.com), members on board, "ZONC" Z Owners of Northern California, which I am a p.o.c. for Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties, as I also set up the Annual Carmel Valley/Pebble Beach Runs. Here's just a little of what I mean: 3M Bra, Vortech S/C, JWT Cam, JWT Heavy Duty Street Clutch, NISMO thermstat, NISMO Headers, NISMO Catback Exhaust, Koyo Slim Radiator, oil cooler, and much more. 26 plus mpg on hwy, 19 plus in town driving, garage kept, complete maintenance records with Nissan and ZCargarge "San Jose, CA" Shop, car covered by cover designed for it and garage is carpeted deck. Much more, but the car even has the new car smell in it, and has never been in a car wash or any kind of freshener used in it. Detailed by hand, using a electric leaf blower to dry it and micro cloth being the only cloth to touch the paint and mequiar's wax the only wax used on it.
But do keep up the good car and it will last a long time. I've had the 260Z and 280Z, and did the same with both of them. As a note I started with a 57 Chevy and 68 Camaro in college and I obeyed the speed limits, and drove safely without having a single ticket as a after thought. So I know that not all 17 year olds drive crazy, I as one never did. I think when I got my first Porsche was really the first time my right foot got lead into it, and I learned real quick on that one. That was the last time I ever got a ticket and I was 45 yrs old then, long past the wonderful younger years you have the privilege of enjoying. So enjoy your car, it's a great car.
Long Live the Z
