Default I messed up Z owners :(

I messed up pretty badly and I had to share it. I am an Internet Manager for a General Motors Franchise here in STL. Basically I ended up getting a hell of a deal on trading my 05 with 40k miles on it in on a new Truck. Basically I just sold it today, and well........It was to a 17yo and his dad...........Sorry Guys another worthless none stick driving 17yo getting behind the wheel of the beast I put so much time into . It was sad to see it go today but Thank god I dont have to look at it anymore. Poor thing is, I give it a month when snow hits the ground that Z is gonna be wrapped into a telephone pole guranteed .

You can at least try to help by calling the new owners and telling them what you know and how you feel in 'their' best interests. It will only help so I am sure they will appreciate it. You can also let them know of actual horror stories of Zs and other sports cars destroyed due to the stupidity of teens.

Z for a truck is a terrible idea

Given current resale you should have just kept it and bought a cheaper daily

Actually Waizz Since im the Manager here, I gave myself pretty damn good numbers . I told the 17yo about the my350z.com website, hopefully he comes. I bought a truck because I got 2011 GMC Sierra 1500HD All Terrain Z71 4x4 to pull my boat The 350 couldnt do it, I loved the Z, but I want a 300zx for a winter project, I located 2 on craigslist, im trying to find shells or with a ton of miles, because I plan on putting an engine swap in it. 350z well always be the best car I've ever owned. And DavidZ I was referring to his dad had to drive the car home for him because he couldnt drive the manual transmission Z yet. His dad was going to teach him.

I'm 17 and have a z. Not every 17 year old is gonna be a idiot. I earned mine and take care of it better than anyone else I know with a car. I'm not sticking up for every young driver but the few.

I agree with you, not all 17yrs are bad drivers, actually there's bad drivers at any age as far as that goes, so don't let that bother you at all.

As to taking care of the Z (my car 2003 Track Model Z - bought brand new), I believe I will give anybody competition on how well it's taking care of and I do have lots of second opinions on that one, such as the Nissan Delearship and the Car shop (ZCargarage.com), members on board, "ZONC" Z Owners of Northern California, which I am a p.o.c. for Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties, as I also set up the Annual Carmel Valley/Pebble Beach Runs. Here's just a little of what I mean: 3M Bra, Vortech S/C, JWT Cam, JWT Heavy Duty Street Clutch, NISMO thermstat, NISMO Headers, NISMO Catback Exhaust, Koyo Slim Radiator, oil cooler, and much more. 26 plus mpg on hwy, 19 plus in town driving, garage kept, complete maintenance records with Nissan and ZCargarge "San Jose, CA" Shop, car covered by cover designed for it and garage is carpeted deck. Much more, but the car even has the new car smell in it, and has never been in a car wash or any kind of freshener used in it. Detailed by hand, using a electric leaf blower to dry it and micro cloth being the only cloth to touch the paint and mequiar's wax the only wax used on it. But do keep up the good car and it will last a long time. I've had the 260Z and 280Z, and did the same with both of them. As a note I started with a 57 Chevy and 68 Camaro in college and I obeyed the speed limits, and drove safely without having a single ticket as a after thought. So I know that not all 17 year olds drive crazy, I as one never did. I think when I got my first Porsche was really the first time my right foot got lead into it, and I learned real quick on that one. That was the last time I ever got a ticket and I was 45 yrs old then, long past the wonderful younger years you have the privilege of enjoying. So enjoy your car, it's a great car.
Long Live the Z

Do stupid people know they're stupid? Of course not... if that fact was not true, no body would do stupid things. Being that your a newer guy here... all we see is young tards getting Z's and destroying them.. over and over and over again.
