My longest Z drive was 20 hours from Newark, NJ to Tampa, FL after buying the car. I was surprisingly comfortable during the drive, but there are no good radio stations anywhere up that coast from New Jersey to Atlanta.

It took Kwame and I about 16 hours with the engine not cooperating to get back to NJ. We had maybe a 300 rpm window where it would rev, and only responded to full throttle inputs, so I spent the entire return trip alternating between 2-3 seconds on the throttle, 2-3 seconds off...not cool. Car finally died right before the GWB and wouldn't restart. A push across all lanes of traffic on I95 by a NJ Trooper, followed by hours of trying to decribe to the dispatcher where we were, and finally a $600 tow, and many hours later and we finally made it back to Kwame's house at around 3 AM. I then took his truck and had another hour drive to my house. Then of course took us the next couple weeks just to diagnose the issue! Thankfully the trip itself was fun, but that was ALOT to put up with!
that's an awesome road trip story! those are the the biggest pita, but have the best memories

that is exactly why i wish our cars came with an ipod connector, or at least an auxiliary port. even my p.o.s. dodge came with one

I'v heard that from several other members. I'v even heard about people with cloth replacing their seats for bride or sparco racing seats and being much more comfortable. that says enough for me

18.5 hours, Ogden, UT to Topeka, KS.

Stopped only for gas for the car and to get food at the same time. At 400 miles per tank, I was in the car about 5 hrs 20 min at a time.

13.5 hours...east coast drive. My right *** cheek always ends up hurting a little since the seats slant up on the sides and that leather doesnt like to flex much. Done the drive multiple times. More comfortable then a Uhaul, minivan, and a 98 escort...I dont have much to compare the ride to.

Drove the Z for an entire weekend once. Probably one of the best weekends of my life, really. deserted twisty highways, cool scenic views, and a rented out private road course (maryhill loop - youtube it!)

6 hours with a break at 3 hours. Half way from Tucson to Monterey, CA. Followed by 6 hours the following day. Very little fatigue. I find the Z seats the most comfortable of any car I have owned. I drive my wife's Honda CR-V and have butt pains all over after an hour on the road.

The longest period of time I've ever spent in my Z was about 12 hours without getting out of it. Even for gas or stretching. I used to drive to NY to see my gf every month and I often left at night and arrived there in the morning. About a 450 mile drive, so I was easily able to do it on one tank.

During this particular trip while I was sleeping at a rest stop, an older man knocked on my window and asked me the time. I answered and then he stood there looking funny. I then asked if that was all and he proceeded to ask me if I was stiff...being half-asleep I said "yea, a little" cuz at this point I had been in the Z for about 5 hours and of course you're gonna be stiff after that. He asked me again and I realized that his hand was fiddling with something in his pocket as he was talking to me. I realized what he was actually asking, then laughed and drove off. I didn't stop at another rest stop that night.

Just did this a week and a half ago..I moved from AZ to NY, just over 2300 miles. I left Mesa, AZ wednesday, at 8am. The only time I stopped was for gas and to sleep 3 hours. Got held up in the snow at 1130pm in Buffalo NY, finally made it to my new place in Webster, NY at 1am thursday night.

It wasnt terrible, and compared to the ride I did from IA to NM on an R1 5 years ago. It was a nice and comfy drive..haha. I thought my back would be sore from the seats, but my legs were actually more sore than anything.

26 hrs+ 87 300zx

Minneapolis - ft collins colorado, ice storm across nebraska. ~8 hrs at 20mph getting passed by plows and tractor trailers. More than 20 and the rear end stepped out, ice about an inch thick from what I could tell where a plow occasionally made a 'pothole' out of it. white knuckle for 8 hours on ice was insane, my hands were cramped for days.
