I want to know how far some of the members here have driven their z's. Where did you go? how many hours was it? I am basically looking for the "road-trip ability" of our beautiful sport cars
You should have searched, there are several threads on the subject. Here's a few recent ones...

Las Vegas to Fallon and back in one day. A few (several stretches at 120) high speed parts. Performed flawlessly.
edit: about 12(+/-1) hrs.

Aurora Colorado to Kenosha Wisconsin, left at 8 in the morning and arrived at 2 in the morning. Freaking nuts, tired as hell, on the way back home my wife drove for a 4 hour stretch.

drove the z from indianapolis to orlando. drove straight though, we changed drivers about midway. seats were starting to get really uncomfortable. but it loved going up and down the mild mountains in tenn.
About the 6 hour mark it starts to get crappy with the leather seats. My 05 with cloth seats i havn't done more than 3 hours in (no cruise control, so we usually take the 03) but i can't get comfy in the cloth seats for any amount of time.
Longest was the trip from ZDayz 2008 back to NY in mine. Getting there was long, but not horrible and I drove it straight. The return trip sucked, there is no other word for it. It took Kwame and I about 16 hours with the engine not cooperating to get back to NJ. We had maybe a 300 rpm window where it would rev, and only responded to full throttle inputs, so I spent the entire return trip alternating between 2-3 seconds on the throttle, 2-3 seconds off...not cool. Car finally died right before the GWB and wouldn't restart. A push across all lanes of traffic on I95 by a NJ Trooper, followed by hours of trying to decribe to the dispatcher where we were, and finally a $600 tow, and many hours later and we finally made it back to Kwame's house at around 3 AM. I then took his truck and had another hour drive to my house. Then of course took us the next couple weeks just to diagnose the issue! Thankfully the trip itself was fun, but that was ALOT to put up with!

I've made a few trips that are almost 1000 miles (between Dallas and Chicago) in approx 12.5-14 hrs by myself non-stop. I'm actually about to do that again later this week.
You can do it, but it sure as hell isn't comfortable doing it; my back was kind of numb from being in the Z's leather seats for that long.

Ive done about 4.5 hrs the at the most. But the speeding makes it tiring sometimes lol but also makes it fun and shorter at the same time! Corbeau seats makes it nice too!
I have done two long distance runs... one from San Diego, where i bought the car, back to Montana... where i unfortunately live... and the first was from connecticut, where i bought the first one, back to South Dakota, where i was living... both were awesome, and both fun, and challenging. Started to feel it eventually though, you will no matter what car you drive!
