Any way we can get NISMO to do this?
I don't have a lot of time to go online and read up on the Z, but whenever I do, I always come here.
I've been reading on how our engines were detuned from ~320HP to 287HP in order to make them more durable to our driving habits and also as a safety precaution. Also that the key to fully unlock not only the engine's power in stock form but also any aftermarket mods is retuning of the ECU. I know some companies are making chips for us, and the usual ECU management stuff's there-S-AFC, E-Manage, etc. But is there any way we could get in touch with NISMO to offer a tweeked ECU version for us? If it's true they got 320HP out of the motor as is and detuned it via ECU, we could get it back. Or if not a whole retuned ECU, then some sort of piggy-back system?
Anyway, someone said Nissan/NISMO does care about what their consumers say and that they even read our posts. Any way we can get their attention to this? I would think a NISMO product here would be pretty reliable and safe to use, no?
If NISMO is already planning on releasing some sort of ECU product I apologize, I try to keep up as much as possible on new info.

I think they are planning on a U.S. spec ECU eventually.
I woudln't be surprised if it's just a rebadged JWT ECU like their camshafts.
Why bother waiting? Technosquare has an ECU reflash available now.
