Just trying to get an idea of those who have their Z's as a daily driver, in city/traffic day in day out what everyone's estimate is for how many miles you get off a full tank of gas? I usually would get between 280-300+, but then it seems like lately I've been getting between 200 and 250 miles! I'm not sure, it could be I just do a lot of needless running around or too much time in traffic...But just trying to see what others are getting?

i can get about 380 miles to a tank of gas.

 

I have averaged 17.2 mpg - and its mostly city type driving -this would be around 260 miles. If I run the needle near empty on the gauge(with low fuel warning lit), it only takes less than 15 gallons to re-fill, so the system is telling you "nearly empty" when in reality you have ~ 5 gallons left in the tank.

 

Usually about 270-310 miles.

 

Looks about right. My figures are the same.

 

i get around 16mpg....i used to get 19..but now i drive harder..plus ive been doing more stop and go driving brooklyn style

 

I get 400 in mostly highway driving.

I've noticed however, that my gas gauge is no longer as accurate as it used to be, and now it always shows about 2 gallons less than it used to.

My idiot light used to turn on @ about 350 miles but now it turns on @ about 300. I'm still getting the same MPG and I still fill up at about 400 miles.

Maybe your gauge is just funky, too.

bout 9600 miles since April 25th 2003, averaging 45.28 miles per day...damn, that is a lot. Full tank of gas would last me about a week, 5~6 days...so...around 300 miles?

 

My experience in the last 23,000 miles averages about 24 - 26 mpg. The mileage is 2/3 highway miles with the rest in city and country roads. I generally fill up between 3/4 and empty with a projected 50 to 80 miles to go.

 

Around 23mpg city/freeway driving 40/60 balance.
