Well....l got my Z stuck today lol
Thank u for making that clear lol, im not a noob at this but snow and ice pn summer tires are not a good in the winter. I just got the z a week ago and have not had a chance to get new tires. I work at a hospital and have to be at work in any weather.
Not for nothing, you not getting out of the driveway today possibly saved your life. I had the bad experience of a bad snow storm here in MA one day before I had my winter tires put on (Blizzaks) and I can honestly say I have never been as scared for my life.
yeah, the south got caught unprepared.
It's silly how much ice we have in Augusta, GA.
My G was stuck as well, shovel the ice/snow out, place a piece of old rug under your rear wheels, wola!

I can hear the answer already - what the hell is "shoveling" lol. Truth be told if we get 8 inches around these parts the entire city goes into panic mode. Just got 2-3 inches today and they are already letting schools out early. Jeesh!
WTF we got 15 inches before stores started closing and the city shut down public transportation for the rest of the day.
3 tools to help you drive in snow
1)Shovel (as mentioned before)
2)Salting your driveway ahead of a snow storm helps keep it clear
3)Using higher gears to get going
Some random/fun tips.
That snowbank you were trying to reverse over was relatively huge. imagine if it was a cement curb, your car would still have difficulty climbing it, yet alone in slippery conditions
Another tip! If your flooring it, i hope your doing it so that the heat from your exhaust will melt the snow behind you, if not.. your digging yourself in deeper.

Footnote: If using the heat approach and posting video on internet, make sure to don your flamesuit!

When you are used to it and have the resources to handle it it is easier to keep things functioning during a storm. areas that dont get much snow dont budget/prepare half as much as those that are buried all year.
I do commercial snow removal on a private contract and I see first hand how all the behind the scenes stuff works. Plowing/removing snow is a pain in the *** to do properly when cars are stuck and ******* drivers cut you off and get in your way.
we are supposed to be getting snow tonight hopefully we get something decent so I can make some money
at least you got stuck in your driveway and not coming from work.... shoveling and putting down salt in your driveway would help..... but then you have the rest of the commute lol.... not worth the risk with summer tires.... im in ny and we are getting snow rite now... ugh guess another week driving the wifes tank

Lol thank god someone understands. I could have made it out of the driveway if i really needed to, but like u said. I still would have the rest of the way to think about and the fact that i just bought the car and the bad tires that are on it did not help the matter any
