Question Superblack, Silverstone Or Chrome Silver?

Great news guys!!! I just suprisingly picked up a pretty good job so I estimate I will be able to pick up a brand new 350z in late March, early April. I don't know what color I should get..HELP!!! I am choosing between super black, chrome silver or silverstone. Which one do you think looks the sharpest? In the future I plan on getting carbon fiber body parts like a Top Secret or C-West wing, side flairs...etc...etc. What do you guys think?

IMO black is the greatest color. but must be kept clean.

I had silver on my last car, it was nice cause when it was dirty it was still clean, just a different color clean... black just looks dirty.

i kinda like SS. i never had a black car so thats why i bought black. if you're NOT gonna maintain z so much, (washing, waxing,..) get SS or C.S.

black is high maintainence

Black is a b*tch to keep clean, but looks pretty damned good at night.

i vote black.. yeah its a pain to keep clean but looks awesome.. also went through the same issues when I was deciding.. previously had a black M3 so i had a chance to change.. was about ready to order a silverstone, but right before i almost did, i saw both of them side by side and the black Z just stood out.. definitely recommend trying to see them side by side.. the presence of the black color is just awesome..

in a couple of weeks, i'll post some pics of how something like that will look.. i have some c-west, top-secret and hasemi waiting for installation.

You're all the way in Jersey huh?? Get black my friend!

Just my opinion but the black will probably hold it's sharpness years down the line. You just got to keep it clean. It also goes real well if you like carbon fiber.

Honestly..all those colors are great. But this is my take:

ChromeSilver: Way too many of them around, gets dull after seeing so many. Best color to show all the lines.

Silverstone: Really nice color, it looks unique but when theres alot of silverstones around that uniqueness is sort of diminished. It's not as evil as the black but not as friendly as the silver.

SuperBlack: black is black..it's probably the most timeless color. It's a REAL pain to keep clean. The beauty of black is it can be classy but at the same time be real sporty and sleek. Some may argue, but to me..the black does make the car look a little smaller.

Talking Nicest Color

I have a SS Roadster but think that a black Z looks pretty cool. The only trouble is that it only looks at it's best for about 4 hours after you wash and wax it.

Very high maintenance but worth it if you like detailing cars.

Just my 2 cents............

I own a SS and of course I think it's the best color. However, there were two reasons why I chose SS.

1. Because the CS paint on the '02 show car wasn't being offered.
2. Those silly silver door handles on the Z that visually scream at you on any other color outside of CS and SS.

With that said... be sure you choose the color for you.

A statistic from one of the other Z forums indicated that over 50% of the '03 Z's sold were one of the silvers. Hence, glad I went with the super black. The pain of maintainng the sharp look is all true but worth it. I agree with the comment on the "contrasting" door handles on the non-silvers - they need to be changed IMO.

But it's all your decision ;-)

black=stealthiest-really freakin nice-hard to keep clean (i wouldnt have a prob but it might be a hassle and it might force you to resort to, dare i say it, a car wash)
silverstone=versatile color...really nice and shows the lines of the Z better than the black does

chrome silver= never loved light silver cars...even wish my SS was a bit darker

as far as the comment about CF-Friendly cars

they all are.....i think white or SS is the best...then chrome...then black..then red...then blue..then brick

but buying a car for possible cf mods is stupid...because you will eventually fall out of the CF and want it painted anyway ( i get those feelings sometimes )

I have black. It is a pain to keep clean. I guess I'm lucky I love washin my car. Sometimes I wash it 2 or 3 times in a week. It's crazy! Definitely though, when it is clean. It's one bad *** color.

I wish they made a darker Silversstone.....like almost a metallic dark stealth grey...that'd be perfect!

I have black and I just love the way it looks. I'm excited for the summer because during this time of year Denver snows and the car can get very dirty. In the last two weeks I've probably washed my car 4-5 times (and yes, a couple were through a touchless car wash).

It all depends on where you live I guess. What would be really nice would be a spotfree filter that would be fixed to your ordinary garden hose, just to rinse off excess dirt

Hey guys, what is this that I heard the 350z was coming out with a new color for 2004 like a "liquid metal" or something like that? Anybody hear about that? Let me know!
