If you could replace your Z
#144
Lots of good cars around the 30k mark (used)
C6 Corvette Z06 (looking at mid to high 30's probably private sale, early year)
Nismo 370Z
Acura NSX
C6 Corvette Base
C5 Corvette Z06 (very clean @ 30k)
Dodge Viper (maybe high 30s for a nicer one)
2011 EVO/STI
2011 5.0
M3 (maybe higher 30s)
Mercedes SL55 AMG (i think its the SL55 dont quote me on that, last generation too)
off the top of my head I could be wrong on some prices

If I could get a clean, non beaten on, tt Supra with low miles (this doesn't exist) for less than 20k That'd be my first choice.
S2000, (these things turboed and spoon top=seks)
I'd consider a vette.... Probably not though.
240z + rb26
Miata + rb26
240sx + rb26 (In actuality a clean s14 with 2jz swap and big single would be near the top of my list, to build of course not to buy premade)
anything else that will fit a rb26 easily....
LOL
MAYBE a 370z... probably not
A G35 (that would actually be near the top, right after a super deal on a supra)
Most of all, another Z. This time a manual hard-top (-_-)

to the guys saying sti; you know they made a 2dr model right?
id take the twin turbo 620hp 2011 gt2 rs 'The awesome power—more than any other factory Porsche, ever—is transmitted to just the rear wheels and only through a six-speed manual,' . AWD and automatics are for girly men that dont want to learn how to drive.

Since posting this thread, I've gone a couple of different routes. I bought a modded C6 with Z06 wide body, all blacked out with $26k in mods. I sold it though and just bought a fully loaded black G37s that had some nice Vossen wheels and its lowered already too. I ALMOST bought an E55 amg, but I read horror stories online about single owner preowned low mile E55's, that ended up having 5-7k in repairs shortly after the new owners bought them. I didn't want to deal with the maintenance, and the 10-11mpg didn't seem like something I felt like dealing with either. I'm happy with the G37s right now, its very comfortable. Maybe I will keep it for a while as a DD and get a nice weekend car in the future.

Leaf
Ok, here's one from left field and I know some people will laugh or bash me for it and it doesn't help the OP...
I'm contemplating a Leaf. I know I'll be waiting awhile for it due to the goofy order/reservations process (currently closed for me). If I get one, it will replace my Z.
However, I'm in no hurry. I'm moving back to Cali in 2 weeks and there are a # of considerations for me such as my current tax situation, whether to buy/lease, future charging capabilities (in the place(s) I live at after the one I'm moving to), future commute distance, prevalence of level 2 and 3 chargers (whether they surface as some have claimed such as at http://www.nissanusa.com/leaf-electr...rgingMap/index), whether there are horror stories from early Leaf adopters (e.g. early battery degradation, car ends up being a lemon), etc.
I'm guessing I will not receive it until 2012 and need to hold off until 2012 anyway if I'm going to buy instead of lease.
But, I'm torn about selling my Z now instead of moving it. If I move it, I know I'll be paying to insure 2 cars, it'll need new front tires and brakes soon, have to pay to ship it, etc.
Clearly, I'm not buying it for its performance or handling (or lack of). My main motivation putting my $ where my mouth to reduce the use of foreign oil (and sending money abroad to buy it) along w/the technology.

or you could really support america and buy from gm your money literally goes to getting america out of debt, along with thousands of americans, and buy a chevy volt. i here they are very good.
'G.M. sold its good assets to a new, government-owned company. Brands like Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC were folded into the new company, renamed the General Motors Company. The federal government holds nearly 61 percent of the new company,'
im sure you wont have to wait for a volt either.
