Options worth getting?
Hi, guys.
Just got my Z on Sunday.
I'm missing some options below:
1. Aluminum Kick Plate
2. Splash Guard
3. Convenient Kit
4. Dealer exterior, interior and undercoating protection for $250.
(or could be less if I can negotiate)
I'm very curious about opt. 4. Would it be better for me to wax the car on regular basis, or things like those clear coating stuff?
Your experiences on any of these options would be very appreciated.
Thanks!

hey congratulations on the purchase...i dont have the convenient kit, i didn't think it was worth it. i did get the splash guards though b/c i like the way they look w/the car and i got the kick plates which i think go w/the rest of the aluminum accents on the interior. i didn't buy the dealer protection either...as far as the splash guards and kick plates go, you can probably find them for cheaper on this site in the classifieds section if you look...good luck w/the car and enjoy
Hi,
For option 4: Fugetaboutit! I went with it when I bought my Z (my cost was $395!
), and the treatment is still holding up (7 months). BUT, I've been beaten down after having been on this forum for awhile.
I've decided to give Zaino a try cause it's got a very good reputation and I enjoy doing the detailing myself. Also, I discovered a web site (Touch of Class) that promotes BIG profits to the dealers who offer this treatment to their customers--DUH! That doesn't sit right with me at all.
It would be very interesting though to hear from someone who has actually left the TOC treatment on their car for the duration of the warranty, and if it really worked, or not.

2. some people like 'em, some don't. i think their value is more in the looks than anything else. i got them because i think they make the car look lower to the ground.
3. convenience kit is one thing i thought would be completely useless but has turned out to be very useful. when you decide to stomp on the gas in a turn (which you will do, alot), things back there will go *flying* from side to side. the net really does keep stuff from banging everytime you take a fast corner.
4. dunno, don't have it.
