It will just slow them down. If they want your rims, they are going to get them

I would opt for a loud alarm system. Did you find any pics of your wheels, and keep an eye out on craigslist for the next couple of months!

This is true, locks can just be chiseled with a hammer until a socket fits on it enough to take it off. But like stated. They do slow the thieves down quite a bit, and I think most thieves just leave them alone because they don't want to deal with the hassle or the noise created when getting the locks off. So they are not 100% thief proof, but effectively they do work as people just leave them.

I personally think they're worth the investment. Plus I get a discount for insurance for having them.

Unless they were good wheels you should say they were OEM because they will be worth more.

Sorry about the theft. Crack heads are pretty brazen. Nothing will stop them for getting a quick fix.

Wheel locks are a well discussed subject.

Locks will not prevent theft. Locks simply take an extra step for the thief. Theft is a crime of opportunity. A thief will always seek the easiest opportunity.

Well my Z sleeps in the garage, so I don't worry about my wheels being stolen. And stock 04's are nasty, hence the aftermarket wheels. If you do go oem, make sure they're 06 and up if you can.

Well my Z sleeps in the garage, so I don't worry about my wheels being stolen. And if someone breaks into my garage to steal my wheels, well there would have been nothing I could possibly do to prevent that. So no need to worry. We worry more about curbage and rock chips. Haha. And stock 04's are nasty, hence the aftermarket wheels. If you do go oem, make sure they're 06 and up if you can.

OMG OP I'm sorry man. That is so devastating to see.

I have wheel locks and haven't had a problem, but my wheels are OEM's powdercoated so I don't know if they're as desirable as aftermarket.

They can still strip down the wheel locks. A shop almost did that to mine when I forgot to give them the key. Good thing the didn't because they would be buying me some new ones!
