Most pointless part about the car.... I would say is the oil dipstick... most everything else serves a purpose... but that thing is a very sad joke.

The cup holder works magnificent... I get large drinks all of the time and it holds them well. It's never spilled a drink.... and having a drink doesn't slow me down much. I have to seriously wonder about those people who complain about it... what more could you ask for?!

I'd say the dual exhaust is kind of pointless... but it's for show so I guess it serves some purpose....

The passanger side cup holder is perfect for me. I used it a few times for 20oz bottles, but my iPod's holder goes in cup holders. I have the wireless transmitter that goes in the lighter right below it. Works perfect and looks great!

Most Pointless:

1) Little black flippy thing in center cup holders. It just doesn't work. I had a 24oz soda there from Burger King once and it almost spilled. Why doesn't it "lock" into position? The cup just pushed it up and fell(thankfully the lid was on tight). And why is it all the way in the back? I was worried it would elbow it while shifting.

2) Sunglass holder is to small for my Oakleys. They fit, but they stick out, so when I close it, the lenses touch the top and I don't want them scratched.

3) How to fit 2 golf bags sticker.

4) Felt lined "ash tray." I don't smoke, I keep a few quarters in there for toll, but thats it.

Other than that, I really love the car!

i have to agree about the sunglasses holder. none of my sunnies fit in there either, so i mounted my xm reciever there. i like the pass. cup holder alot!! that thing is way stronger than you think too. one of my friends (he is huge) got in my car when the cup holder was out and hit the thing while sitting down. thought it was broken but it pulled through fine.
i think the stop watch feature is kinda dumb, unless you have a passenger to work it. the huge amounts of wasted space in the rear compartments should have been designed as more compartments. i also don't like the way the bottom of the doors bulge out making it hard to get out or scraping your shoe across it.
other than that, pretty cool cars.

1. the golf bag stickers (not everyone golfs)
2. compartment for navagation
3. stop watch
4. that huge bar in the back
5. felt in the ash tray

and i wish they would make some kind of trunk cover so people cant see whats in your trunk.

Ignoring all the insignificant minor annoyances that have been mentioned, what the **** is the reason for the wasted 18 inches between the seat backs and the rear suspension? Destroying front/rear weight balance? Seems like they could have shaved at least 500 pounds off our Z's real easy, and then maybe move the engine back a bunch?

Weren't the earlier generation Z's built that way?

BTW, I love my 350 Z! But............................

Actually, the auto dim feature works poorly. I'm thinking about modding it so I have a variable dimmer **** sticking out of the windshield side of mirror. This will allow me to set the level of darkness at night.
your freakn nuts. if your on a steep hill, and you dont even know how close the car behind you is. you can roll right into him.
