Depends on the version of this "Nismo" exhaust. If it's the cat back exhaust (Nismo S-Tune), then yes. If it's the muffler section (HKS marketed/sold with Nismo 350Z), then no.

^ This! It's not hard to have a decent muffler shop do it, but it will sound same as stock without the Nismo mid-pipe

Wrong. Not only do the pipe diameters not match (not the biggest of your problems or even a problem for many actually), they won't even mate (pipe routing is slightly different) and you would need bolts/nuts/washers.

Just take it to a local muffler shop and they should be able to fabricate you a mid-pipe for real cheap. Just make sure they use a nice metal piping with good mandrel bends, resonator is optional.

Mufflers affect the exhaust sound more than an empty pipe with a resonator in the middle. Either way, it'll sound similar to the Nismo.

My muffler guy charged me $35.00 for labor and $100.00 for the 3in custom midpipe and install. He made me a resonated version and a un-resonated version.

You may have to purchase 2-hole 3 in flanges and gaskets yourself. Some muffler shops may not have those in stock.

Definitely go for a resonated mid-pipe. The nismo muffler is loud as **** without it. Drones on anything over 30 percent throttle input.

I purchased just the nismo muffler for $300. so op you should jump on this.
