well my car is base 350z 04 at around 1200 miles.... and i keep hearing some kind of rattling or noise in exaust righ when i change gears from 1st to 2nd. and i think i heard it from the day i bought the car. is it cause im still a amateur manual transmission driver or is it just like that?

 

hey, i had the same thing and just took it to the dealer this past sat and they found a pebble stuck in between the heat shield and exhaust and thats what was causing the noise for me...since then i haven't heard anything. have the dealer look at it...

 

It's a lose bolt on your rear axle. I had the same thing and have heard of other people with it to. no real risk they said, just one of the bolts needs to be tightened down a little. it makes a metal on metal clinking sound under the car as your shifting at low speads when weight is redistributing front to back
