agreeing with the "man-card" post
if you love your z as much as you say you do, get your hands dirty and fix it up instead of throwing her to someone else to work on, ALOT cheaper too, and more satisfactory

i had all four rotors done and all new pads done front and back.. a good friend of mine works at pennzoil, who also has a 35oz and did my rotors and pads for 427.xx. just search around, your breaks dont always have to be done at a nissan dealership, they tend to charge out the a$$ anyways.. they tried to make me buy a light ballist for 415.00 bucks and i went on ebay and bought one for 80.00

(UPDATE)

The guy that came with me to inspect the Z when i was buying it ended up doing all of my maintenance.. I saved tons of cash. I had my window motor replaced (drivers side) and back brake pads (he said my rotors were totally 100% fine) I ofcourse helped out and finally got a good idea on how to take care of a vehicle. He also tightened my Radiator hoses and cleaned out my Air Intake Nismo mod.

Motor cost me 130$ (lifetime warranty)
back brakes cost me 50$ (lifetime warranty)
I paid John 150$ for everything... He did it all in less than 3 hours... Hes wicked.

spent under $350 for something that the Mechanic estimated to cost me 960$...

Thanks for your help guys

Cool... so I take it the fronts are ok for awhile longer?

Glad you got that taken care of, you don't want to be going metal-on-metal.

Yeah the fronts have plenty of life and the guy who did the work said that fronts had another month in 'em.

SO as i got this car way below blue book value, im totally confortable spending a little bit of money on this beauty (i seriously dont know how I could of driven anything else but this before)

My window, when its down all the way now, it rattles... type of noise where the glass is hitting the regulator metal shafting... its really annoying but only happens when window is completely all the way down... Anyone else have this problem? Does it need some grease?

Also, my front lights are foggy looking and i want to restore them... just trying to find the right person

Finally, I have some door dings and tiny scratches... Im definitely gonna use some touch-up paint on these.. but still debating whether its a good idea fixing door dings in LA... people keep telling me that I'll get em back on the first parking lot that I park on... Wot you guys think?
