35th anniversary value question?
Hi all, This is my first post. Great site. I was hoping you guys could tell me what my Z is worth. I bought a 35th anniversary silver stone color about 2 years ago. I just crossed 50,000 miles and Its still under Silver warranty until July 2013 (or until 87k miles).
Other than stock it has the Nismo intake and Lambo Doors that cost something like 3200 dollars. The doors are high end I know that.
I have been aggressively paying the car off and I noticed that I owe a lot less than what the blue book value is. I consider it in nearly excellent condition. Another think I like about it is even one of the Nissan reps said that they never seen the leather interior that I have.
I was wondering what you guys think I could get for it if I sell it? they seem to hold their value, do they ever appreciate?
I forgot to add its the 35th anniversary "Grand Touring." I'm not sure if all the anniversary editions are the same or not.

Not sure if they appreciate, but they are nice...
I think it comes in leather as standard and there is no GT or any other sub divisions.
here is my 35th aniv car below.

2005 35th anniversary Z's all came with leather orange and black leather seats
Why would it appreciate in value? Its only worth what someone will pay, and with increasing mileage and wear and tear the value only goes down my man... Its a great car, Id lose the lambo doors though.
Otherwise enjoy the 35th Anniversary Z, its a great Z but still its a Z like almost everyone elses....

I've seen photos of lots of 35th Anniversary Z's with all black seats. Like mine.
The 35th Anniversary was its own model that combined features of the Track and Touring models. There's no 35th Anniversary Grand Touring. With the MT, you got a high rev 300hp engine, Brembo brakes, 35th Anniversary floor mats, leather, and many (not all apparently) had bronze exterior rings on the side Z emblems. I might be forgetting something else that distinguishes the 35th, but it isn't much.

Apparently no one likes the doors.. I doubt the car should be knocked 20% because of them though. (4k on 20k - really?) They don't have to open that way. It opens either way..
Either way thanks for all of the feedback.
Does 19k start sound fair? It does have over 2years /37k miles left on the warranty.

With luck, you might find someone who absolutely loves the doors and is willing to pay what you want for the car.

The cars were also fully loaded with the only options being: automatic/manual, and a navigation/curtain air bag option package.
Tan/black leather was also an option on the black/silver cars (not ultra yellow). The black leather also came with the orange stitching that carried over to 2006 like the wheels.
Here's some of the official Nissan press shots. The super hi resolution ones aren't on Nissan News anymore.

And yes, I own a fully loaded Ultra Yellow/Automatic one. :-)

It's not about whether or not we like them. We're not critiquing the car. You asked what we thought it was worth. Fact is, the vast majority of people will be put off by those doors, not indifferent. When you buy a car with mods that just means you're taking even more risk that someone did a **** poor job. Dealerships won't touch it and private buyers with half a brain will be wary.
With luck, you might find someone who absolutely loves the doors and is willing to pay what you want for the car.
