Just trying to get an idea of how much off MSRP everyone got (if any) and if you got any other goodies in there like floor mats.

I ordered a 2004 Performance during the last week of October and got $1K off MSRP. Of the three dealers in my area, that dealer is the only one willing to bargin for less than MSRP. The other two actually add $600 to $1,000 to the MSRP as a "market adjustment".

Thanks for the tips...my guess is that I'll go take it for a test spin and if I like it I'll ask for 1k off and some floor mats tossed in at no charge. The tough part would be to decide on leasing or buying

I didn't think VPP applied to the Z's???

I ordered an '03 on Sept. 13, 2002. I seem to remember that I got it for about $200 under MSRP.

Same here. $4000 off MSRP.

VPP applies to Z's, but it's entirely at the dealer's discretion whether or not they are willing to sell the car to you at that price. They're not easy to come by. Here in SoCal there are only 2 dealerships that will do VPP on a Z.

Ok so here's the deal I got...walked in to the dealer and asked for a Les Mans Sunset...Touring model with basic options. I could order one, but there's one out there that has the aerodynamic package and the mud flaps (and floor mats, aluminum kick plate, and some other small things but I think they're standard on the '04's now. So rather than the car being 33,810 it was being listed at 34,550. I said that I didn't need any of the options and the guys said fine...let's deal with 33,810 (basically no charge for the options) and we'd work from there. One dealer was ok with $1000 off of that, then I walked into another where it turned out 2 of my buddies work and got a total of 1200 off. Only problem is that they gave me 250 short of what I wanted for my trade (that's after negotiating). But my buddy offered to give me $500 worth of coupons for maintenance which basically covers my oil changes for the life of the car. Anyway, thought I'd keep everyone posted...seem reasonable?

$750 over invoice here on a Base. $29995 out the door including TTL, Destination, Add fees, $400 credit to install cruise at dealers cost (still need to get it into Autohaus for this), Front Mats, Rear Mats, Mud flaps, sill protectors, and a spoiler add.

Have tinted the window since, added the alum pedals, have a bumper guard on it's way, and will have limitted slip installed next month.

I'm on my way to Wheels / Tires next month as well. Then she's done until 36K... At which time SC ...

After a year's wait, she finally sits in my gargage protected by my watchful dog. I love this Z more than my last!

If your happy and you know it, rev your motor.
