Ok so I'm signing the papers at the dealer for what's supposed to be 1k over invoice. When I look at my monthly payments and am wondering why they're $50 more than I calculated. So I look and see this charge for $1700. I ask the manager "What's this for?" He says "It's your warranty" "So the cars don't come with a warranty?" "They do, but this one's a 5 year instead of 3 and I would never ever buy a car without it." So I responded "I believe you, but unless you're paying for this one, then I think I'm buying it, so remove it."

What little bitches. They put it in there and tried to hide it! Seems shady to me. I'm thinking about just telling them to forget it, give me my deposit back and I'll buy it somewhere else. Problem is I might not get the offer I did on my trade in else where. At the moment I wasn't that upset, but I woke up this morning wondering if I can just call it quits with them, tell them to not bring the vehicle from the other dealer and I'll just go somewhere else myself. I've heard of dealers pushing the extended warranty and being very aggressive about it...but to just throw it in without telling someone? Don't think so.

Uh oh. Golf clubs don't fit in the back?

I'll be ordering an 04 Performance sometime this week, hopefully. Please tell me they can hold a normal sized golf bag.

I got mine for something like $2600-2700 off this time last year. That was a pretty rare deal at the time, dealers here were still asking anywhere from list to $5K over. I think I ended up like $900 over invoice.

Here in the bay area Mckevitt in Berkeley gave me no problems at all. 1500 under MSRP easy. an unusually low key self effacing bunch of folks there. recommended!

2600 off and still 900 over invoice? Wow, they must'a been ripping everyone off. I got mine for 1000 over invoice, but they only took 1500 off to get there.

That was dead sticker on a Touring, not an inflated dealer markup. I think the sticker was $34K something.

I'm shopping around. Found a Silver '03 Enthusiast manual, no add ons. They are trying to charge 29k... Im thinking that 27.5 or 28 is more reasonable.

I appreciate some feedback,
