Just paid off the Z...
Don't do like me. I paid mine off in less than a year, (came into an insurance check) and bought another daily driver a week later. Now I have 3 cars and can't afford mods. **** **** ****.

Yup, had a PPW '05 DE. Low miles, but the economy was "good" then and they gave me Carmax value for it.
Yes, I know I did it all backwards, but when you join a very active Z club, these guys talk you into foolish stuff, like becoming a mod ***** (Love ya SE Houston Z crew!) lol.
Seriously though, I'm not broke so once I caught the mod bug it hit me like a spider monkey. I should have paid it off sooner, but ish happens. Just glad it's over and done now. I'm not going FI or anything, just gonna polish her up with some decorations for show and maybe just a bit more HP. I don't need the headaches of FI and the money to fix issues. I'd rather put the money into my Roth/401K and the new house.

gongrats!!!
i bought mine new in 2007 and put no money down sign & drive
i pay $525 a month
i started at 72 payments
i have 18 left
i will be happy when it is paid off, only has 30 miles on it , i drive about 5k miles a year, so when i pay it off in 18 months it won't even have 40k miles on it
i am keeping it and not getting into car payments again

Congrats OP.
I plan on paying mine off, as soon as I get back from this deployment... $7000+/- and she's officially mine...

Also no more payments since April, now time to get a different model of Z car that kicks the 350Z buttocks area. Looking for a twin turbo 300zx, even a stock model will be a huge step up in performance.
Woo hooo no more payments, congrats!!!

no better feeling than buying with cash. and the dealer was really willing to work with me seeing as they'd have bills in their pocket within the hour haha. I practically stole mine.
2003 brickyard 6MT 48k miles. drove it home that day after i lightened my wallet to the tune of $13,500 after the dust settled. And it was from an infiniti dealer.
congrats on joining the payment-less club

Did any of you guys finance through Fifth Third Bank? Just wondering if there is any way to access your account without starting a bank account with them, I'm paying an extra $105 a month on my 350 and I'm trying to gauge how it is affecting my interest.
