New buyers beware!
I stopped by Bel Air Nissan where I purchased my wifes' Maxima GLE. I had been talking to a new salesman ( my friend went to another dealership) and my dad was looking at a Z also. Any way , I really want a roadster but the only thing holding me back is the idea of taking care of the top. I am now leaning towards a Liquid aluminium Touring which was totally gorgeous! It also had burt orange leather seats! Real sharp. HERE IS THE KILLER! THEY WANTED 3995.00 FOR THE NISMO EXHAUST AND R-TUNE INTAKE! I was like WTF ! then I started laughing --told my salesman that this was overpriced and what it actually retailed for! He gave me a dumb look! I asked him if Nissan would cover the R-tune intake and both him and I think it was the owner said that they would. I asked if they would put it into writing and they agreed. I just wanted to let buyers know this because this is the second dealer that I have found trying to inflate the cost of the Z w/ Nismo products. I found if you want this added, make sure you have the R-tune intake warrantied in writting. I think I will purchase a coupe for now and when or if Nissan makes a detachable hard top I will go with the Roadster since this will be my daily driver.. I will be purchasing a Z next month, I just have to wait for my early termination on my Infiniti lease.
I also noted changes that included: new brushed aluminium --real metal door interior handles and the knee pads. The cup holder and dash trim looked like real alumium/ metal instead of plasticy.
Go to Car Max in WhiteMarsh. If they dont have the exact Z you want, they can DX (dealer exchage) it. I have seen quite a few liquid aluminum Z's at the Sheehy Nissan stores in Annapolis...Good Luck.
Yeah no doubt.. I was hit to that site from another Z site
and plus that's no haggle.
Although I bought a used Z with like 1600 miles from a Private
owner, I have yet to see a new dealer in my area that can match there price for a new one.

Carmax does sell new Nissan cars. I got my Z there with no haggle price which was better than any of the dealers around MD/VA area and its guarantee price. Not one of the bs crap that the dealers will say on the phone just to get u to come to their lot and then pour on those bs fees:dealer add-ons, paint protection, etc...
There is a whole bunch new Zs rite now on carmax's site.
The only problem is, they all come with liscense plate in the front bumper..pre-drilled w/gouged marks...sucks. I haven't gotten them to fix the gouge marks tho.

I think I will start at CARMAX and use them as a starting price---I have dealt w/ two other dealerships including CARMAX. I will probably get one from them since they don't inflate the price!

You guys are forgetting (or perhaps, didn't know) that on the PreDelivery Sheet, it states clearly that the tech is to ask the sales department whether or not to install the front bracket.
The law states, in most states anyway, that the front plate has to be displayed. It doesn't say where in the front. As the consumer, you can ask that the plate bracket not be installed. If they do, and quote that "the law says so", they're wrong. Nissan has asked the dealerships to ask the customer, they have chosen to ignore it.

Gp to Jeffs body shop in Annapolis. My Z had the bumper drilled and they fixed 100% perfect.
