it definitely is nice... I hate when a backseat is thrown into a car that midgets wouldn't even be able to fit in!

ok i'll play. here is what makes me happy about my z.
1. rare le mans sunset orange paint. not many cars sport this color and the z is one of the only ones able to pull it off.
2. compiments on the color.
3. looks badass with the trunk/hatch open. try that in an m3.
4. true 2dr rwd 6spd. no bs (back seat) no trunk for junk.
5. people are scared to race me.

I love my ZR because it's a fun car to daily drive and handles pretty well.

I also like it, because it keeps me based in reality. Whenever I start to buy a performance part for it, and then realize how little gain you get for the cost, I put that money into my Bullitt instead and then get in the ZR, drive it around and enjoy getting 23mpg, a comfortable interior (albeit pretty bland) and nice handling.

I have to agree, there's nothing scary about racing 99% of 350z's. My wife's 2011 Kia Optima is nearly a match for the Z, and it's a huge 4 door family car.

i take my car to closed canyon roads on saturdays, usually lots of bikes and bmw's. due to my terrible tires i can get low speed drifts and four wheel skids thru the tight turns . the constant screeching everyone at the hangout spot can easily hear both going up and down the canyon intimidates some road racers. the bmer drivers are scared to push hard enough to break lose.

and honestly yesterday a jag xkr pulled into the turn lane instead of pullin up next to me then he followed me straight thru the light lol.during the same enthusiastic saturday cruise a 70s vett reved at me at a stop sign then rode next to me to the light. i dont fully street race random people but i do like to have a little exceleration test. i hit 5k in first and realized the guy just wanted to see my car go so i did a 2nd gear screech and took off.

new mustang v6's (probably the most common car i see) and non 5.0 gt mustangs of any year will have a hard time keeping up with a z even n a straight line. so their big thirsty v8s should be scared.

Ummmmm. No.

I would agree that the 350Z will beat the 96-98 Mustang GT, but.......

A stock 4.6L 2V Mustang from 99-04 bone stock should be able to run side by side with a 350z, they have very similar stock 1/4 mile times (13.8-14.1). An 05-10 GT will run mid to high 13's bone stock at the track. But as soon as the GT does even the simplest of mods, it's going to pull away. They just make more power per mod than a 350Z. They don't respond as well to simple mods as the LS1/LS6 though. A simple 4.10 gear swap, and a GT can run low 13's with a decent driver. Unfortunately, it seems that most GT drivers can't drive, but I can say the same thing about most 350Z drivers as well.

A 4.6L Bullitt, Mach 1 or Cobra will eat a 350Z's lunch. My Bullitt is the wimpiest in that list, since it's still a 4.6 2V, not the 4V like the Mach 1 or Cobra and ran a 13.8 bone stock and is now down to 12.5's naturally aspirated with a bone stock engine, just bolt-ons, suspension and drag radials.

Not sure about 1/4 mile but on the 1/8 I smoked stock GT mustangs with only an exhaust. Not sure about the new ones.
