If the 350Z is such a great car......
why are so many owners selling them on Ebay ? I love the car and would never buy one just to sell it on Ebay. Maybe it's not rocket science, but I don't understand.
A lot of new Zs have been sold and some people will simply find that a 2 seater is not for them. People have children and are forced to sell, the Z is not the best to drive in the snow without spending the money for good snow tires, etc... There are a lot of dealerships now that will also put their cars up for sale on Ebay. Lets face it, the Z is not a practical car and there are a lot of people that buy on impulse instead of thinking before they purchase.
How many of the ones on eBay are new & placed by dealers? My guess is a very high percentage.
A couple years back I was thinking new T-Bird (Thank the Lord the feeling went away) and checked eBay. At least half listed were dealers new product.

the z also qualifies as a "dreamer" car. there are alot of buyers that get this car even though they can't really afford it. when they reach a point where they can't make the payments, they're forced to sell. i've seen numerous people on this board mention that they're getting a 6-year loan, are really stretching their budgets, or are having to sell their car because they can't afford to keep it. it's too bad, because you know those people really love the car.
anyway, i'd imagine that where alot of the ebay cars come from. that, and dealer demo cars.

Do the math. If they are selling 30k Zs per year, you are bound to see a bunch for sale. Also consider that it is not very practical if it is your only car. Look at some of the reasons ppl have given on here as well, Kids on the way, too much money, First year production blues, etc. With interest rates near their all time lows and dealers looking to make deals, it is really easy for people to get talked into stuff they cant afford.
