a 1/8th scale??? what company makes that chasis and body?

I've read about 1/10th scale Z's but not 1/8th...

nice find!

haha oopz.. i dunno what i was typing.. you're right... its 1/10 scale. anyways.. the body is from Proline... and comes unpainted. bought it at towerhobbies.com but, that is an HPI RS4 3 RTR. haven't had much time to run it lately tho.

It really depends on how fast your motor is. If it's a Tamiya stock motor it'll probably be anywhere from like 36t to like 24t motor. The lower the turns or winds on the motor the quicker your car will run and the faster it will eat the batteries.

I run an 8 turn Modified motor. I use really high peak batteries to give it an awesome jump/high end when racing. On average my batteries probably run like 15 mins full blown around the track.

In your case, if you're keeping the stock Tamiya motor for awhile then any battery around 15-20 bucks should do fine. They'll run for about a half hour or more dependng if you gun it the whole time. People usually don't get a faster motor until they're totally accustomed to handling their car.

Make sure you get a "peak charger" to max the life and run times of your batteries. You can find a fairly cheap "peak charger" for well under 30 bucks. I reccommend the Black Widow.

I think it is a 19T motor.
