You know life is crazy sometimes. I just posted yesterday that I found a 350z. Well now im at a crossroad.
A while back ago I asked a guy about his 350z and he wanted $17k for it, i told him I would do no more than $15k. Well as time has gone buy I found the one last night and it was pretty much a done deal. Now the guy came back and said hey i will take the $15k. Here is the comparison:

I'm the original owner of the vehicle; however, the tittle is not clear. I still owe money to Nissan finance in a lesser amount then the auction starting price.
I personally wouldn't buy a car that is not cleared with title in hand. Unless you're willing to fly up there and negotiate a title transfer. Which will be a huge hassle for you and him.
The second one is already modded. I won't buy a car that has been previously modded because you might not know exactly what or how they did it.
Here is an idea, why not go to the classified on this forum and look for a car.

And I am as well skeptic on getting a car with mods let alone those mods. Most of the time the car has been beaten on with all that go fast parts.
Thanks for the two other adds, I will look into those too.

Dont do it!!!! I bought my car from a dude that did not have the title he was local at least and we worked a deal where we did a bill of sale and only left him a deposit but I had to wait 10 days for him to get the title.

Lol already have my bank all over it!!! I never get people involved with transfer of money. I use USAA, it's a military credit union and they won't release funds till the get proof of the title from the bank. They make it a pain to buy cars but they are protecting there customers.

Not really rushing, yes I found one kind of fast, but when a door opens you sometimes have to take it. I talked with the guy for about half hour last night and told him the only way the transfer would work is through my bank. He was like sure thing man, he is taking video of it starting and driving through all the gears and then a video of the whole interior, underside and exterior, and also the engine bay while running and not running. He is a legit person.
I am always weary of doing transactions and not being there, I did it for my 69 camaro. You just have to take the steps to cover your butt. Again my bank helps with almost all of potential scammers not getting a dime from me. I will also going to go through ebay on the back side so i have the coverage on the vehicle itself.
REALLY Deteria!!!!!! LOL i find a 07 in my range that’s in great condition and you say keep searching after post after post telling me to wait for a 07+ lmfao...you are killing me you know that

No trim not to worried about. And yes it's very tough to find one not way into the 100k miles for under 15k. I have looked through almost all resources I can, auto trader, cars.com, criagslist, mautofied.com and etc... I'm doing as much research as I can but I just sold my truck (great profit) so now I'm actually not able to sit back and relax as I got no wheels lol!!
I'm working with one and hope to get it for 12k out the door but very tough market for these it seems. That's a good thing right........lol

I think I’m going to stick with the 350z as I can’t seem to even come close to the price range ($10-$15K), which I understand, can’t want everything and pay nothing for it. So with that out of the way I can focus on the 350Z
I really appreciate the awesome info and comments, it has helped immensely. I’m leaning towards an older one so I can stay at the lower end of my budget ($10k). The only concern that I see is that I could get an engine that has issues.
The car is going to be my daily driver but also I am a gear head so I will be doing the standard; exhaust, headers, CAI, springs and on and on...
Is going with an earlier model a bad idea for that kind of driving and modifying? Will the engine give me a lot of grief if I try to do too much hp gain bolt ons and even one day slapping an induction on it?
I am just trying to narrow my window down even more till I know exactly what to look for. I am in no rush as I have my truck now and it runs fine. It would be great if I could trade my truck for one

Personally, if I was buying used at your price range.... it would be an '04.5 again and slap some '05 wheels on it.
