Adjust the side mirrors to where you would normally, then adjust them out a little more. this way, you can see more to the side than the side-rear. then, notice your rear view mirror. it adjusts at the mirror and at the windsheild. use this newfound knowledge to let your mirror arrive at a location suitable for your rear viewing enjoyment.

 

Yeah, the blind spots are pretty bad compared to every other car I've had.

I set my mirrors the way cartalk said to (they're out as far as you can, at the stops for me) and it helps A LOT! I don't worry very much anymore.
