Default Building the VRT Rumble Bee...

Just wanted to give you folks a heads up on our

VRT TIME ATTACK CAR we nick named RUMBLE BEE...

History

1. First owned by Vison619 and Stillen Supercharged, then turboed
2. We acquired it after Vision and his wife split, she kept the car and now it is a VRT Shop Car.
3. Mods JWT 700 turbos ON A STOCK MOTOR

Goals are to Win TIME ATTACKS....and Test our products, builds, and systems

4. To Date we have only placed 2 and 3rd in the Button Willow and Cal-speedway Time Attacks.
5. Competition Drivers feature TANNER FOUST, Billy Johnson, and Aaron Bitterman of Speedventures.com
6. I wrecked the car at the Super-Street Time Attack Finals before Tanner Could race it...We fixed it pict and all...LOL
7. Went to Redline Time Attack at Button Willow and won 2nd place in UNLIMITED Class RWD and 3rd place in Modified Class RWD
- If you do not know what Time Attacks Are:
www.RedlineTimeattack.com

Classes

Unlimited / Race-cars and anything goes usually Hoosier like tires (50 tread-wear and below) crazy bada$$ cars and PRO drivers
Modified / Streetcars, need glass in car and dashboards using Nitto NTO1 and Toyo like tires 50-140 tread-wear) Semi and Pro drivers
Street/ Streetcars with interior/ Tires with 140 and above tread-wear - Amateur drivers ONLY

8. Went to recent Cal-speedway Redline and placed 2nd in Street Class RWD (good Job Mike B for the Street Class win...)and 3rd in Modified Class RWD with Tanner Foust driving again. The unlimited class was cut short because of track got closed due to Chris Rado's blown motor. Tanner's Time in the Modified Class of 2:12 were fast enough to WIN third yet oh well. **** happens.
10. We modified the JWT 700 kit with a custom front core support and custom intake and inter-cooler piping.
11. Built complete cage for the Upcoming Silver State Classic race.
12. Competing in all 2007 Redline Time Attacks.
13. Currently increase current 500 WHP detuned for Time Attack to 750 WHP with even larger turbos custom modified with JWTs help...More on this.

Hope you enjoy the picts.

Watch this Video...Pretty Cool. THANKS TO ALL INVOLVED with Bumble Bee...

no that hood is great, agressive, needs a lip to tie it in, but then again it IS a track car...maybe an aerodynamic yellow lip? :P

New hood coming. Kognition was making us one yet it isn't quite done.
Honestly it was the old Supercharger hood (and we just carved some holes in it to vent).

We have a new APR wing and front splitter. All in time and will be ready for Button Willow at the end of the month.

Tuned for Time Attack. High WHP 575 on Stock Motor...100 Octane gas consistently. More power coming...More Aero, More Grip, and Better Suspension.

Appreciate the comments.

Nice time line Michael,

Btw, what wheels are these? Are they lighter than the Enkeis that you had before?

That airbox setup looks super overkill. Cool project though!

The ones here on the DYNO are are the Enkeis, just powder coated black. Depending on what picts you see in the video there may be different wheels cause we have to change the tires THREE times for the competition.

Hope you are well.

We actually designed it for our current upgrades, even larger turbos and more power. YOU ARE CORRECT...Everything on this car is OVERKILL...We are experiementing, having fun, and trying to be competitive.

Dang, you're up early M,

I was asking about these wheels. They look like the Rota P45Rs.

http://govrt.com/upload/yel_picts/7.jpg

Oh, about those Enkeis, what sizes & offsets are you running?

Yes, you are correct.

Pretty good stuff for a knock off...and the price.

Enkei...
9.5 and 10.5
275 and 285 front tires and 315 rear tires depending on the brand and class of tire.

The offsets on the Enkei are perfect for our tires. I will be running ONLY Enkei soon. They are durable, very affordable, and because of the 9.5 and 10.5 sizes and offsets they give us the most room for tires WITHOUT rubbing with a little fender roll.
Also clear true coilovers in the back. VERY important as well.

Rotas are cool yet on 9.5 and 9.5, and a lil heavier. Yet again for the price they are very nice...

Awesome, with the new power upgrades we are working on I'm not even a good enough driver to make it fast the way Billy Johnson and TANNER FOUST can...

It takes a hell of a pilot to keep down 500 WHP none the less 700+ WHP which will be the case ASAP...

Thanks again.

Thanks for a great feedback. And to make it better, both of them clear the crazy *** AP BBKs

Nothing beats High horses on light wheels, and Top quality brakes....

I'm missing the first 2 (HP & light wheels) but I'm slowly getting there.

Well, I can arrange for a truck to get your baby out here NEXT week.

Take care and it is always great to talk. Did you get those AP's. Pretty good price as you mentioned...

Ahem, about that...let's keep it a secret. I have a bigger plan (which involves a ring, & a lot of $$. ) in progress that sets me back a little. Once everything settles, I'll be back on track like we talked. I don't have the cash to do both at once. I want a bumble bee tooooo.

I'm picking up the AP kit this weekend though. Can't wait.
