I don't necessarily have any rituals before driving my z... though i do unlock the doors 3 or 4 times... for some reason, it still makes me feel like a BOSS!

My biggest rituals are at work or whenever i'm just generally out somewhere. I park in the furthest most unoccupied area. At absolute closest I'll park no less than 2 spots away from another car. And i'll do everything possible to park in plain view of my cube at work... just so i can keep an eye on her

You're not alone.

I'm like this all the time in the winter with my Murano. Always checking for possible dings/dents as well no matter where I go with the Z and Murano.

Besides what I have already agreed to, I always check for bird droppings and such. Don't want that crap baking on the paint longer than it already has.

And then random jackass parks right next to you instead of the other 85875423 available spots.

Except once at a Walmart I parked diagonal (another thing to keep those annoying door dings away) in the back of the lot came out and BMW M1 was parked diagonal next to me! Made me smile

What does this even have to do with what I posted? Calm down dude. My car is garaged, always clean, etc. I just don't have a friggin' ritual while getting into my Z.

Pre-drive ritual: Open garage door, start up car, smoke cigarette, then drive.

Post-drive ritual: Park, dust exterior (Cali Duster FTW), clean off bugs, check for new rock chips, lightly dust off wheels, then close garage door.

my only ritual is when walking to my car i check to see if a car has parked too close to me, if so i take out my key, stick it in thier valve stem, flaten the tire to the ground, get in my car, leave.
had to do it the other day at the gym. i park in the very back corner spot i come back after an hour with no one within 15 spaces of me except this one ford sedan.

haha I do this as well whenever I'm forced to park next to someone. I did it to a state trooper once and he dinged my car TWICE, Idk how he even did it, two marks an inch apart. I called and had the local PD come and take pictures and file a report. He was gone so I showed her the pics and the chick was like... ok, he left before you came out so how do you have pictures? I didn't have the stones to go after the statie, I didn't want to start a personal war with one of those guys, I'm sure he could make my life hell.

First, I take a few moments to get the coordinates from the navi-computer because traveling through hyperspace ain't like dusting crops, boy! Without precise calculations I could fly right through a star, or bounce too close to a supernova and that'd end the trip real quick, wouldn't it?

Sometimes I notice a flashing light and then I'll yell, "What's that flashing?!" but it's usually just the airbag sensor going through its self-check. At that point, as is often the case, I end up losing a deflector shield. If I have any passengers with me, I tell them to, "Go strap yourself in. I'm going to make the jump to light speed."

And then I do.

LOL lov'n those Starwars references! But after starting my Z I always turn off the slip control button. I forget what the three letter acronym for it is, because I'm so used to guiding my hand there by touch. "VDC" I believe.
