Someone talk me out of this!

Plus, if you lease a car with the intention of purchasing it at the end of the lease, your overall out-of-pocket expense will actually be MORE than if you decided to buy and finance the car outright. Or didn't you know that? Also, if you KNOW you change your mind often, why in the world do you sink money into a car that you know you probably won't keep for very long?
Besides, financing a car is basically a lease with a $0 residual, and you don't get flak from the bank if you decide to get rid of the car early or sell it to a third party.
Listen, you asked for our opinions, and you're getting them, so stop complaining. You brought up the lease, mods, truck, and everything else, so they're all fair game. You want feedback? This IS our feedback.

In conclusion, I should have omitted the rest and merely asked for a comparison of the Titan vs. Z...my apologies.

Please man, the reason why you're getting lectured is because it's not a good idea. Plus....the dealer that told you that it would only cost you $500 to get out of your lease is full of it, they tell you that to get you to visit the dealership. You wanted real advice and people to tell you not to do the trade, and that's what you're getting.

I'm just wondering how old you are? I'm getting an under 20 vibe. If you modded the car, don't forget that it's worth less to the dealer so no doubt they will charge you something for it. What I'm trying to figure out is how you go from one vehicle to another in such a short time? I don't think you're making it as a rational choice (sorry for chiming in late with my opinion), but for personal image/well being. Meaning that it would only make you feel better about yourself, but you don't really need a truck for anything more than looks. All that stuff about people waving back and etc, etc...that's just to top it off and make you feel better about the choice. I've never waived to anyone unless they pull next to me in the same car and only then maybe if we make eye contact.
And as for leasing and owning...well if you're planning on buying when the lease is up, then you end up paying taxes twice. If I own the car even though it's through the bank...it's mine to do what I wish to it, because it's up to me to sell it later for whatever I like. The bank simply takes extended payments on it, unlike a lease where you're more or less just renting the car with no equity in the end.

Actually, I'm very into Mountain Biking, thus the need for a truck. *And I did know this before I got the Z. But since I've got it, I find myself going out to the trails much less often. Didn't know about getting taxed twice. I know leasing is like renting but what's more American than a car payment...

I'm thinking about trading in the Z for a Titan...
First of all, I love the Z. If I could, I'd have both. However, having the Z for about 6 weeks so far, I've already spent several hundred on mods, and am planning on spending several hundreds (thousands?) more. So that's one factor...But I know I'll want to mod the Titan as well (some nice 22"s...
) but probably not as much (yeah right). I can just see that with the Z, nearly all of my disposable income is going into mods.
Second, I know I very well might lose some trading in (I'm leasing and was planning on buying at the end of lease) but I'll end up saving in the long run.
And lastly, I've just seen so many Z's on the road. And not cool owners like those I've met from this board but a lot of old grumpy women who don't wave back.
Am I just plain stupid? I hope I don't get banned for this

Here's the way I see it, saving money is great, but I don't mind if I lose some. Obviously I don't have $30k extra lying around to buy the truck.
Awesome, let's get together sometime and you can try that fork thing.

But I'll repeat: Saving money is good, Old ladies are sexy, the Z is fantastically well, I'm a moron.
I think that covers about everything. Let me know if it doesn't. Come down here and I'll, I'll..
I'll buy you all a beer, how bout that?
Later
Keep the Z. Don't get a Titan (even though they are quite nice).
Just go buy a beater pick-up (Ford Ranger, DAK, F150 etc) and use that for mountain biking.
Or, figure out how to make a cool bike rack that attaches to the back of the Z. Make it configurable so you could have an attachement for holding 4 race wheels and tires and then start a business selling the product.
Pretty soon you'll be able to buy 5 Titans to go along with the Saleen S7 that any CEO would drive.
Wait, maybe I'll do that....
