rolling to a red light when an older 3000GT Vr4 was sitting there. i come to a stop, gives me a thumbs up, rolls down the window and starts to talk to me about my car. i used to own a Vr4 so im a little ashamed at this guy.
"Hey! 370z??"
...nah, 350
"nice! v8 right?
...no, 6
"ooo, the twin turbo model"
...no, NA

-being that he had a 5 inch single exhaust and strange body kit that didnt fit right i didnt bother to ask him about his... and just cruised away with his thumbs up in my rear view

love it haha! You would think if someone actually knew what a 350z's and 370z's were than they would be smart enought to know the difference...

 

my girlfriend knows there are two different Z's (350 and 370), but doesn't know the difference between them. guess she's pretty dumb?

this thread used to be funny with actual stupid questions that were funny. guess we can go ahead and change the title to "tell us the time you were a giant douche to someone for no reason"

 

im speaking in terms of also being able to see the 350z/370z emblem on the back.. I had someone look over the car (including the back where it is) and still ask whether it was a 350z or 370z. Dumb question for a reason sometimes.

I guess she had never seen a Z before and just assumed the emblem would have some obscure name that she had never heard of so she didn't bother reading it.

 

You'd be amazed how many people will open their mouths before actually looking.

If they don't recognise on first glance, they don't look.

Someone asked me what size motor I had...while looking directly at it for several minutes. Granted he didn't look like the biggest car enthusiast but that should've been pretty obvious.

 

Whilst there is a 3.5 written on the cover, this isn't a stupid question, people just aren't that knowledgeable on cars. "3.5" means nothing to them.

Valid question, i think we're struggling for actually stupid questions at the moment :/

 

Not saying I think it's a stupid question, but most of the time at gas stations people just ask if it's fast. I tell them no. Not compared to my 04 ZX-10R

Then they usually tell me they would love to own a Z.
Or regarding me owning one, I always hear "must be nice"

Yeah yeah. I know. Couldn't remember which one it was that had the better performance specs. I never bother to look at other Nissan cars so I couldn't remember. Hence why I said "OR" instead of "and"
