Might Get Rid If The Z....
i didn't feel right in the EVO...i drove a friends once but didn't go fast cause he just got it that night...i didn't experience the rush but i felt like i was in a truck...the gearbox was real tight (not comfortable), when i was moving the shifter in neutral i could feel the gates for the gears...the pedals were small and didn't feel as solid as the Z's....i was glad to be back in my Z....The Z feels like your in a cockpit, while you definately know your in a sedan in the EVO....but they're fast as hell (seen a few mid 12 evos at the track already), have nice seats, and they look good, but still too much like a lancer....
I think the sales of the evo are down because of the STI. I think that if we bought the STI instead of the Evo, we'd probably have an STI and a 350z in our driveway right now instead of a g35c. Maybe deciding between an STI and a 350Z would provide a better argument
I have an Evo, G35 Coupe and 04 Z Roadster. The Evo is faster and most people know this. Also most people know that the Evo does not look as good as the Z or G35.
. But dollar for dollar the Evo is a great car and very cheap to upgrade. My clutch lasted till 14k (very little launching) but the car was designed as a warmed over race car. If you like driving hard buy the Evo. If you like driving and looking good, keep the Z.

you can put a turbo kit in the Z that will have it beat by performance as well.
Or you can put 6k into the evo and have a low 11sec car.
hey zurn,
Yes, I admit that I was having a li'l bit of fun with PhotoShop on that pic. That particular car would make a great outdoor clothes line. (don'tcha think?) I was generally motivated to play around with it based on the several Mitsu owner's reception to my observation. I commented (on another Z forum) that the "EVO puts the UG in UGLY." (ouch!)
Maybe it looks better in person? (maybe not)
While their owners banded together in support of their vehicle choice, they touted its handling and acceleration virtues. Hey that's really great! However, the fact remains that the existing body design is woefully unappealing as can be. It is, what it is! IMO
So as 'alddave' recommends: "If you like driving hard buy the Evo. If you like driving and looking good, keep the Z."
I think I'll manage to do both.......and I'll do 'em in my Z.

If the EVO was $24K brand new, then I'd say it was a great buy, but $28K? No way.
