A Z with bolt ons has no chance of ever beating a C5+ vette, not going to happen. You can take a stock AUTOMATIC C5 add a cheap nitrous kit and run 12's quite easily.

I know all of this looks similar on paper but its not reality, the vette has so many advantages including weight, transmission located at the rear axle and huge tires its very hard to get a vette to burnout, suprisingly hard - even a 500 hp Z06 is not easy to burnout with at all, that is the sort of traction advantage I am talking about. And the torque on a C5 is so extreme when you gas it and hit 2nd gear with an auto it can cause the rear end to whip out and lead to a crash, almost happened to me, feels like taming a monster compared to a Z, I think the torque is a big issue being overlooked here.

Corvettes here are only factory tuned. If you can do better than 180K they can't catch you, so they don't even try.

No it can't. As a reference my bolt on c5 ran 12. 3 on street tires... a decently set up c 5 on spray will **** on a stock c6 , and would cause problems for a bolt on C 6

I didn't say "decently setup" though. I just said spray - and I mean a safe amount. If you add tires, exhaust + nitrous then yes you can beat a C6 from what I have seen, but not by much. Iv'e seen this matchup in real life and driven plenty C5's and C6's. The amount of nitrous here is subjective though as I am talking about a homemade setup shot right into the factory intake pipe, everyone has different setups so I am sure anything is possible with those that spend real $$$ on the better kits and aren't afraid of wrecking their motors.

Getting into this sort of comparison is a waste of time though, too many variables, all I can say for sure is that a C6 LS2 is a far superior car STOCK - 50 hp and 40 ft lb torque better. And a C6 Z06 makes the standard C6 feel like a civic.

Like you said no point in getting into the discussion, bit I have beaten several stock and bolt on C6's with my bolt on c 5 at the track to include ls 3's.. some races o beat the driver others I beat the car. the zo6 is a different animal completely just my real world experience.
