They can handle abuse, 147k on the stock motor and going strong. Unless the car has been drifted (not small street drifting stuff) or on the roadcourse , it will be far from abused.

My only real advice is
a: don't listen to everybody's person advise.
b: ZCargarage.com - check it out, talk to Rob and get advise
from an expert who's worked on and been around the Z & G
since they've come out.
c: I bought my 2003Z Track Model brand new and I have zero
problems with it. I've modded it and put C/F on it. I like it
and wouldn't not sell it to get a new model. But remember
everybody will tell you what they think, as I have done. So
talk with shops that have been around such as the one I
mentioned above. Go the the website and get Rob tel# and
give him a call. Enjoy your 2003Z if that's the one you buy. I love mine.
Good Luck and have a nice day.

Something cheap would be to buy a wire wheel(few dollars) and a take the rotors off and wire wheel the calipers/rotors to remove all the rust and paint the calipers if you like or keep them the wirewheeled silver. Should take you about 2 hours and makes a huge difference in appearence
