Default Austin owners: missed you at MSR

See thread on: http://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthrea...threadid=80448 for details.

Next event is at TWS on Oct 12-13. Remember - this is all brands - so instructors will be very experienced all around!

Jeff,

Oct 12-13 suppose to be the Hill Country weekend drive. It is also THE UT/OU game. My son is in the Longhorn band. You and Chris S. offered too many touch choices. BTW: Which event are you going?

Al,

Jeff will be @ TWS, as he's an instructor w/ DE. I attended my first DE event this weekend at Motorsports Ranch, and DE is a topnotch organization.

My main objective in going was for fun, and I wasn't too excited about the mandatory instruction. Nonetheless, I decided to make the most of it, and ended up w/ an excellent instructor who was very insightful. He also gave me a ride in his supercharged, race tired, NSX. No way words could convey how thrilling, and scary, this ride was! It was a very humbling experience...

For any sportscar enthusiast who hasn't been, I highly recommend it! No, I'm not trying to "de-market" my Hill Country drive, as I hope you can make it. I wish I could do both, but my budget could use some more recovery time before another $500+ weekend at the track.

You're sure to have a great time regardless of which event you choose!

Chris does an *exceptional* job designing and leading drives in the hill country.

Unfortunately, I've got a hard committment to instruct @ The Drivers Edge, so I *have* to do the DE event that weekend. So I'll miss the drive. It would have been the best drive I'd ever been on, too.

Note that The Drivers Edge is sold out already for the beginner classes, but you can get on a waiting list. Some people drop out at the last moment and a few spaces will open up. Some just don't show. Also, some students get moved up later on Saturday or Sunday, so student spots open up... if you are willing to take a chance then come to TWS and hang around and wait.

Otherwise, don't miss the drive. This will certainly be the best drive we've ever had. The weather will be incredible, the scenery will be at it's peak.

Jeff/Chris,

Thanks for explanation. One quick question about DE class, does my car insurance cover if there is an fender bender or other "situation" during class?

Well, since Chris will not offer the Hill County Weekend drive on a regular basis, I am leaning toward it. I will wait for the next DE class.

Chris, can you ask Mac Brown to move the UT/OU game to a later date.

Well, it's great to have choices.

Al,

Your insurance *shoud* cover a non-competitive, non-timed instructional event like DE, but YMMV depending on your policy.

I just talked to Mac, and he said he could have moved it about a month ago, but it's now too late. He suggested that you tape it, and don't watch or listen to the news until you watch it.

Chris,

Thanks, but what is YMMV, I am not used to this term.

Gee, Mac is not helping at all.
