wow theres alot of one sided rhetoric happening in this thread.. im not even a mod.. but please OP, take each item you had questions on.. insert it in the search function and peruse until you have learned the car.. it will come to you quickly ( no homo ha).

NA bolt ons do preeetty much nothing ( for the most part) until you add tuning software.

I can also attest that " lightweight" 18s from Nissan arent that light.. and that my 20x12 Forgestars in combination with a 325 25 20 Pirelli rear tire weighs the same as the OEM 17" rear wheel and tire combo, actually a few lbs less.. and the spokes are very thin at the rim, putting the moment of intertia towards the wheel centers, While they were not cheap, at 1700 shipped, they were also not expensive.

card stacking:
Mentioning facts that alone are valid yet paint a one sided picture and call it fact/truth, when in fact, the opposite argument can be shown as valid when all the facts are made available.

everyones of course trying to help (which is strange actualy haha), but no one has time to write it all down here.. becuase its all available eslewhere in the forum.
Ill also add that you want to be very careful about your Unorth pulleys.. i hope you dont have the crank pulley.. you need a fluid dampener.. or youll get increased chance for crank walk ( i mean possibly) and break things in a large way.. the VQ is not the engine to play w the balancing.

which is again why i say to the OP.. please use search, welcome to our forum.. stick around, search, read, and you WILL learn a ridiculous amount about your new car, and save yourself from wasting time and money in the process.

Was thnking...you owned a few "high end" cars, some strong HP vehilcles, especially the Z4M.You prolly paid,what...13-14k tops for your 03 Track.Looking at your list&recommendations(incl. mine),you could drop as much as you paid for the Z in mods.
Does this make sense to do on a 03 Track? If you have the dinero laying around, maybe you should have springed for a new 370 or something out of the box with more overall value.
Also, what kind of overall shape is that 03 Track--interior,body etc?
But,hey...sometimes logic does not make common sense, right?

What you said makes sense; I wanted a daily driver and did not want to spend too much. Did not want to do any mods but as soon as I started to drive it I could not control myself. I have a high end car in mind for 2012.

I raced a 350z with NA mods once with my Z4M and was extremely impressed with the performance. I was reeling him in but very slowly compared to other Z's.

Appreciate your input!

Points taken; Thanks. So I take it that you are happy with the 20's and the performance. Good to know !

Honestly I am happy with the tune and the only way to go is dyno tune the mail in tune will never really get you to the best results.
I kind of have a funny story my friend has a 08 with HR engine all he has on it is an intake and a nismo cat back I believe.
We raced about 6 times over the last year he always smoked me up until 3 months ago when I got my tune.
We actually put lunch on it that I could stay with in 4 car lengths of him up to 100 mph. I ended up beat him by 4 or 5 car lengths I loved the expression on his face it was classic.
Then I told him about it he ended up getting the same tune as well 3 weeks later. Now he takes me again but it is only by like 2 car lenghts.

Nice car, looks just like mine.

I did basically all the same mods your looking to do. If I had it to do over again I would have just kept my money and went for the Momentum turbo kit. Sure its more expensive then NA mods but at least youll be able to feel the difference when driving .

What do you guys think about OBX longtube headers? Now without the Cats it will not be street legal. Can I have HFC installed with the LTH or it defeats the purpose or is not even possible.

Thanks

It is not possible to have LTH and HFC. The LTH replace both the stock header and Cats. It is all one piece.
I guess you could do something custom, but it not worth the price or time for the perforamnce gains you will see.

Header are a rough job on a 350z if you are planning to do the LTH and need an emissions it not worth the $ or effort of changing them out everytime you need emissions.
I would do test pies with a performance header keep your stock cars and change them out when emissions is needed.

I have no feedback on OBX headers. I like Megans for the price they worked out great for me

OBX LTH are cheaper because they are copied from someone else design. I personally tryed them! The sound is insane, as far as performance idk cuz i took them off before i could dyno with them on my car. But there was no fitment issues at all. But if you want a NA list IMO that will not break your pockets and net you some decent gains.

Headers with hi flow cats or test pipes
Larger Y Pipe
Pick a exhaust
Kinetix racing V+ (plastic top) or the APS tallboy plenum (im not a fan of the spacers but if u are get a spacer!)
MREV 2 Manifold
Get tuned!!!

A lot of people wont agree with this list but I have had all of these on my car except the merv 2 on my car at one point. Just not at the same time. But I have known people with a merv 2 and they got some decent gains. But that is a good start, than save up for some cams and 1.5 LSD and you will have fun NA build. But tuning is a must to get the most HP/TQ. Modding a Z is not cheap remember that!!!!

But this is just my opinion speaking if i could go back 6 years and do it again.

+Thank for the list. How about DC Headers + Kinetix HFC+ Kinetix Racing V manifold? I love the idea of long LTH and test pipes but then every 2 years.....

Just get test pipes put on a performance short tube header and every 2 years just put on the stock cats again for emissions.
Way easier then long tube if you have emissions to go through unless you want to do that job every to years. Which I wouldn't

Honestly I am not sure, but from what I read earlier you dont have any performance parts on it atm correct?
If not I highly doubt you have a performance CAM just seems like you would have other parts that would make those cams perform better just my take.
