I remember a member here took a trip to japan a year or so ago & posted up the original chassis at the Nissan Museum in Japan & it was Painted in Le Mans Sunset. I will dig for the picture later tonite or in the morning.

dont most of the DE motors have that issue and then in 2007 nissan was like well u guys remember that one motor yeah well we replaced with one that doesnt have the oil issue and revs higher and has more power and puts down that power over a greater power band we decided to call it the HR motor lol

Not exactly accurate... The DE Rev-Up is the one with the oil consumption problem.

Nice find. I hope the next owner treats it like the 1st owner. The more he hangs around here, the Z will lose its virginity.

Um, I thought #00001 was the subject of this thread? or do you mean that dealer is a member here?
The Barrett-Jackson Collectors auction is on Speed tonight I believe - might see this car on that.

The 2003s have oil consumption issues as well, it is just hit and miss (perhaps just like the rev-up).

Sold for $47,300 I'm shocked since you could buy a brand new 370 for that and have mod money left. Guess they didn't buy it to drive it

I guess someone is thinking that 40 years from now it's going to be worth some money. Still a whole lot higher than I thought it was going to go.

The very first nismo 370z with plaque #001 was up for auction on ebay about 6 months ago. I think it went for a couple thousand over market value.
