And what exactly do people have to "hate" on you for? A soon be sound deadened/ heavier Z that might see 300whp? Lol

Greatest difference would probably come from picking quiet tires and alignment with zero camber/caster/toe. After that, I would say dampening for headliner, wheel wells, doors, and hatch. Then tackle the floor - especially all of the sheet metal area directly behind the seats for the glovebox, etc. I found that my Z actually resonated less sound once I cut all of that freestanding sheet metal out of the car. You probably want to shop around and talk to some audio guys that deal with sound deadening, because many car folks are adding deadening due to vibration introduced by sound systems as opposed to cutting down on road noise - so you want to make sure that your product choice is going to target the frequencies and types of sound that you're interested in dampening.
Just because you have a different goal than 99% of the folks on here doesn't mean anything's wrong with your decision. It just means that you know your own personal likes/dislikes and are more interested in fulfilling those than blindly following the herd. Kudos! And good luck - in for results.

But yes, I think this is kind of silly seeing how the road noise and the sound of the car create part of the experience when driving these wenches.. But to each their own I suppose.
All I do if I want less road noise is turn the music up...loud... with my sh*tty oem speakers.

Are you looking to remove the road noise from the sports car? or the sports car from your interior?
If it is the road noise... add insulation/deadening material to your wheel wells/liners. add insulation to your splash shields (under front bumper/motor) make a full underbody cover and insulate it.
Want to remove the sports car from your interior? factory exhaust, no aftermarket parts...... add cotton batting in plastic bags to any void you can - sounds stupid right?? pull the interior of a lexus/cadillac apart and take a look. apply deadener to the inside of your door panels, underhood, firewall, anywhere you can fit it.... or save yourself time and money and buy a lexus.

Well this is definitely not a fantasy thread, it's a plan of something that will happen. A $1,000 isn't that bad for adding class and refinement to any car.
I also realize that this is a sports car, but that doesn't mean it has to be loud with a lot of driving noise. Just a minor gripe I plan to fix. I will post before and after decibal levels to confirm success.

I've got em on my Z now. Ventus v12 evo's 245's up front 255's rear on stock 18's. I've got nothing but good things to say about them. Tons of grip, good turn in, very progressive break away, and excellent price. So far, smooth reasonably quiet driving. They are kind of soft and due to this have probably a 20-25k ish life span for normal drivers. I've pounded about 8k miles on mine, with a lot of aggressive driving. I suspect I'll be replacing the rears in another 8k or so.

Road noise is what I want removed...tire noise, wind noise at windows...etc. I love the car, just want to fix things I rate as below average, and interior quietness is one of these things. But like everything else, it's nothing aftermarket support can't help. I also hate the dipstick.
