I went to high school with a few guys that all had S2k antennas. Not a single one of them bought theirs. So yeah, it does happen. Sucky people suck.

Bunches of people. Only option is to cement the thing on and then they will snap the entire part off trying to steal it again. You can buy them on-line for $15 or less.....

EXACTLY. And these poor bastards feel it's necessary to steal LOL! I'm probably going to be unscrewing my next one each time I park my car and store it away either inside my car or take it with me, just so nobody can steal it. Still....... it's so freaking ridiculous!

Actually, I'd bet that whoever took it can easily afford it. They took it "because they can."

Seriously, it was probably some punk high school kids that took it just because taking yours was easier than ordering one online.

FBI should kick that bastard's ***! I gave them a call and they told me the same thing I've been saying. "Those poor bastards can't afford $20. But I'm sure you can, so don't scoop down to their level and be a poor bastard yourself. Support the economy!" lol

Well... I may as well try and get the best of the situation. Does anyone here have a suggestion for a different kind of antenna? Keep it shorty

At most SoCal college campuses **** like this happens. Luckily it wasn't at CSUF, because more could've been stolen/vandalized.

Happened on my last 7 weeks of school too before I get my degree. First time my car has been touched this WHOLE time. So I guess my luck ran out!

What do you guys think of this thing? It's pretty cheap...... I don't really use my radio too often. Normally use iPod/CD's. But on occasion I will use radio.

Don't think the fitment will be perfect either but if its off by only 1mm or so I don't really care.

Happened to me. What would make someone steal a $12 item easily accessible on ebay is beyond me.

Wow, you did get lucky! Even when I lived in Sacramento and going to college at Sac State someone try to push down the window in my '97 eclipse spyder to get inside, they were not successful so they stole my tire air caps lol.

Edit: Congrats on your soon to be degree!

It was probably a Democrat, lol. Guess I have been lucky - 7 years and still have mine. More Repubs in Ohio though.....
Look at it this way - some moron stole a 3 foot piece of copper pipe off one of my HVAC units at work and it cost $1400 to repair. Now that deserves the instant death penalty.
