I have PPW and it is a soft pearlescent color imo. The rocks, dips, chips and sudden run ins with parking barriers is a ***** I must say. A bra is fine, the 3M clear bra or mask whatever you call it is a nice way to go, and if done right will protect your vehicle. As far as the bug splatter chip residue, if it gets tooooo bad Ill just have my from bumper re-painted. Better yet maybe even a new body kit, hmmmmmmm, Ill wait no hurry. Coming from someone who said they would NEVER!! own a white car, Ive come to really
like this color on the Z from a selfish to cleaning reason.

I guess this is where black would be a bit handy with chips?
. I'd invest in a clear bra when the time comes for me to get a Z, I just don't know if it would cause long term damage once it's taken off, and if it is really noticeable. I mean waxing/cleaning the car - wouldn't the wax just appear different on the clear bra'd areas?

The problem I've got with a clear bra is when I had and installer do a test strip to compare the colors with and without.
With the clear bra material he used, the pearlescent color lost it's pearliness in that area and the white took on a discolored yellowish look. It wasn't obvious, but enough for me to decide not to get it. When the chips get so bad I can't stand it anymore, I'll just have the bumper repainted for close to what the clear bra costs installed.

Both my cars use QX1 per the dealer and the paint codes on the doors of both vehicles. So I am sure of that.

The paint on these cars is HORRIBLE, so it will chip easier than your white PT cruiser. The color isnt going to matter in this case.
Yes, Pearl White has metal flakes in it that makes it so beautiful. Caddy charges a $1k premium for their Pearl White cars. My mom previously had a "regular" white Caddy, and then a Pearl White.... *whew* beautiful.

Pikes Peak White OWNZ !!! I love this color-- you have the most options in aftermarket with it (ie bronze, gold, gunmetal, merc silver, silver rims)-- cf looks good, white looks good, everything matches white. Yeah, it's the shiznit. Especially in the sun after a good wax job-- the car just glistens and is blinding.
