If I would've got a 370z or a GTR instead of a 350z then I would've gotten an auto because they have the paddle shifters behind the steering wheel but I got a manual on my 2006

I bought an auto 03 enth AT and had it for a year and just traded it in for a 03 touring with manual. The tiptronic is fun for awhile but its just not the same. with the touring I got all the options. so I feel like I upgraded a bit.

Nope,love my AT.
My wife drives the Z.She does'nt give me a hard time when I dump tons of money on mods.
I'm guessing you are well under 25...
Your needs&wants change when you age.Convenience is one of them.
Besides, you can get a tune(I did)that will modify the shift points on a AT.
Sorta puts the car in a "sport" mode as I had in a previous car.

You should have given more thought before you bought the car.
Besides,I've got MT in my 70' Lotus Europa JPS.

Do you not see 5 "350Z has the worst tranny" threads? they're talking about manual. boost it and you'll change your mind about auto.

Nope, I have no problem owning an AT.
A lot of people bust my ***** for it, but I really could care less.

A Z is a Z, tiptronic is good enough for me, and being able to chill in traffic and on hills is a bonus.

However if I do decide to go FI, I will probably switch over to manual.

This makes me feel better about my choice. This is my first car so I didn't want to ruin a manual transmission. Is an automatic worth modding at all? When I get a 370z I'll definitely get manual

Trust me when I say that almost any question you can think of, has already been asked and answered.

No big deal. Go buy another Z with manual and you will have best of both worlds Auto on traffic days and manual for spirited driving on the weekends.

hmmm...sometimes i wish i had an automatic and then I slap my self silly and tell my self to man up and work the clutch. Thank god I am only stuck in rush hour once every 2 months and only ponder upon this thought 6 times a year for 30 seconds at a time. Every time I am driving my wife's camry with an automatic I am craving to push a clutch in or row some gears. Triptonic is a joke if you really think it will hold you over and replace a manual transmission. Enjoy drivetrain loss and all the other perks that come with it.
