Default Anyone ever scraped going over speed bumps

Just wondering if its possible, going from a SUV to this car has me paranoid about it. I have even turned around to avoid a few.

I have scraped once, but its not noticable unless you look under the car. I have the mudflaps, so its no biggie.

And after I bought the car, I noticed scrapes while doing an oil change. Damn test-drivers!!!!!

Be careful about curbs also, the Z will not go over most curbs. You are forewarned!

you won't scrape unless you lower your car. I have mine lowered with Eibach springs, it's about 0.8 - 1" drop. I scrape the bottom sometimes, usually it's the cats (shield)... since it's the lowest part..

I've had the same fear about hitting the splash guards or some other part of the car on speed bumps. I've not had any problem with this issue in my Z. Just take them slow and you should be fine. The front bumper is low so keep back a bit in parking spots to avoid hitting your Z's front bumper on the cement sidewalks or parking stops.

there is one particularly large bump that my mid section scrapes on if I got 5mph or more; never found a bump that it couldnt clear; but a little suspension travel if you dont go slow enough can do it.

curbs on the other hand... hate them. not only worry about the front bumper; but if you park next to a tall curb, be careful when opening your door; its possible that you could scrape that in the right situation.

i've never scraped on a speed bump (and i've gone over all kinds), but i still go very slow. sloped driveways are where it scrapes the front. so, go *very* slow, even when it seems like no problem.

going from an suv to a z is quite an experience, though, i'll tell you that much. i used to roll forward until i hit those parking stops. now i'm so paranoid that the z ends up sticking out. fear of curbing my wheels has mostly gone away, now that i'm used to parking it, but it was scary for a while there.

SCRAPE? Hell, I bottomed out backing into a parking spot that had a hump on it, and slanted down a bit.. Got the back wheel off it, and WHAM! *cry* I'm still upset about that one.. And, yeah, I've scraped a few times, too. My front bumper is going to hell quick between that and the rock chips... Body kit time soon....
