Default Contemplating on selling my car.

Hello again,
I've been talking to my dad about my car recently. My baby has had a few problems since I've bought her. Burning oil like mad, 3rd 5th, and 6th synchro's are going out. He suggested that I trade it in for a new 370 and cut my losses.

I've got enough in the bank for when I trade it in to more than likely cover my losses. as of right now I owe $10,765 on my '06 black enthusiast with 92000 miles.

I'm sure a dealership will only give me ~$8k for a trade in, if that.

I've come to you fine people to ask what you would do in my situation.

There is always swapping a ls1 too....

If there are anymore questions about my car feel free to ask, Ill get back as soon as I can.

Thank you for your input.

EDIT: I could always buy an '07 or '08 too!

Burning oil is a SOB. Starts off with you adding a quart of oil every 5000 miles then every 2500 miles then...

It only gets worse. Dump the oil burner now.

No recommendations from me because its really a personal finance question. I assume that you will pay off the old car. And buy a new one with someone else's money.

Why trade it in? You'll get reamed big time. Sell it YOURSELF...that will net you $2k+ more than any dealer will give you...whatever the amount may be. Having done that..shop for an 07/08.

...Engine swap...cheaper than buying a new car...there are plenty of Z's being parted out.

I agree, sell it yourself. Take that money and either buy another 350 or put it down and gab yourself a 370z......
