hahhaa.

the other day i had just washed mine. the sun had just gone down as well so it was dark. putting all my stuff away in the shed in the back of the garage some nieghborhood kids walk by. living in a condo complex it sits in the drivway where plenty of people walk by. i can tell they have no idea im sitting in the garage watching them stop to examine my car.
i hear them start to make comments about what theyd do to it and one of em reaches for my door handle.
thankfully, one of the kids i grew up with his brother, says "dude, thats James's fairlady and if he catches u touching it hes going to run you over with it"

they all walked away and i couldnt help but laugh because its probably true, these kids are 17 or 18 and i wont show mercy to little punks feeling brave. i gotta get that other kid a non alcoholic beer for lookin out for me though

i totally understand how you feel, i have a roadster with a good many mods, took it to school one day and some classmates did the same thing on my convertible roof( maybe not a cannonball but broke it nonetheless), 6 grand for a new one, insurance helped though.never caught them because my car wasnt on camera and we couldnt prove it... get a python 991 alarm system and paranoia is a thing of the past, i can say this from experience

Update: 1 of these ***** pled out today and got 9 months of probation for Mischief Under $5000 (he gets the benefit of the doubt as I haven't received a damage estimate yet, but could well be over $5000 - in Canadian law it makes it an indictable offence aka a felony). So essentially a night in jail.

I get the next week of taking it into the shop, getting an estimate, waiting for insurance, dropping the car off, renting a car...etc.

The other one, prob Mr. Cannonball, didn't get bail and may or may not set it for trial next week.

I'll find out Monday how much damage they caused.

They are both in their late 20's. Drug addicts with nothing better to do at 7am.

Do they have the death penalty in Canada? Electric chair would be sufficient.

Wow... Thank god those kids were caught. I hope the judge is in a bad mood and doesn't go easy on them.

Update:

DAMAGE = $5000.00

The entire roof needs to be replaced, and a new roof welded on. The interior fabric liner as well is all messed up and needs to be replaced. The dents on the hatchback need to be removed.

Good news: I got this sweet Nissan Versa as a rental for the next week!!!!
