USAA has been great, my 2 cars Z and explorer are about 1200 bucks a year. Plus the yearly rebate check, i'll never switch from them, they have other good banking services also.

My insurance right now is $5,000/year with full coverage. Maybe they are getting me back for when they had to pay for my first Z which was totalled. Either way, I only have one ticket on my record from 17 months ago for careless driving up at Penn State. I had low tire pressure in one of my rear tires and my 300zx chirpped going around a turn. Two cops decided to pull me over on their bicycles and issue me a ticket for burning out. Not to bash PSU, I am an alumni, but I really hate the cops up there and I hope they all get what is coming to them.
How did the bicycle patrol catch you? 2 Funny to be caught by bicycle cops, LOL!

Whats the deal with the DAMN rebate check, I have never received one! Been with USAA for over 5 years. All I get is the stupid subscriber savings plan.

That's strange, a rebate check comes every year right before christmas. It comes in a plain envelop and letter says, do not tear this letter up, and on the bottom is the check. USAA is cool!
I wouldn't understand why everyone wouldn't get it, you should give them a call and ask why, theres gotta be some reason.

Well I called up USAA and spoke to a Rep. there tonight. She said that I only got $14 dollars back this year and that if it is lower than $25 they do not send a check, they put it in an account called subscriber savings. My balance is at $186. The onlt way I can get my $186 is to cancel my account and wait 6 months for the check. What a Crock!

Anyway, she also said its how long you have been with USAA and how much you pay in premiums a year.

I pay about $1400 a year, what does everyone else pay and how long have you been with USAA?

I have been a member for 5 years.

I asked the lady why so many people get rebate checks back and I don't, and she siad, it depends on how long you have been a member and the big one, how much you pay in to your premium. It has nothing to do with claims, ect. She said the board of directors granted 7% back last year.

After all this I am still confused. Advice anyone?

Thanks for any help!

i've been a member for about 15 years, maybe after so many years you get a pro-rated return of that declared percentage. So i probably got like 5% and you probably got like 1%. Not really sure how this works either.

When you are driving on College Ave. with a lot of traffic, its not hard for the cops to catch you at one of the many stop lights. They caught me only because I was only able to go about 100 feet before I had to stop because of the car infront of me.

Nope, you can't 350zAccord.

You either have to be/been in the armed forces or be the dependent of someone that was.

Which is too bad because they really are one of the best insurance companies out there.
