thats actually a good idea. If you shave off the handles and only utilize a key or remote to open the door, then thieves would have a hard time getting in. Unless there is a way to get in that I am not thinking of/don't know of. Well besides smashing the windows....

There is no way to fully protect yourself - if somebody wants something bad enough, they will always find a way.

Park in a locked garage, if you don't have one, park on an empty section of the street (no cars/trees/shrubs) under a street lamp.

A flatdeck tow truck can have a car loaded and be driving away within 5 minutes, without tripping the stock alarm...

Alarm and yeh..be careful where you park at. If your inside somewhere and you get a bad feeling about it, its best to trust your instincts and check on it. The only time ive been paranoid about my Z was when my window wouldnt roll up two days ago and i had to leave it in the parking lot for work. But no one took anything and i took a fuze out just in case.

I just insure the car. I actually don't care much if it gets stolen because it would be an excuse to get a new one. Removes a lot of my anxiety. I keep it locked up, of course, and in a garage. But if someone went joyriding in it and beat it up, I wouldn't want it back.

Default Droids/Iphones video calling

I ran into a guy the other day that had a camera mounted in his car that allowed him to call it (the camera) in real time and basically watch (from his droid) exactly what was going on around his car.

The camera would pivot 180 degrees giving him a pretty good look in real time at what was happening from the inside (of course you could see through the windows) to the outside depending upon where you mounted the camera. I believe you have to have a phone that has "video calling" feature.

It was actually pretty slick. He could call the camera anytime and actually see if anything was going on. The camera was hooked up to his cig. lighter for power but he said it also had an internal battery.

I think he said he got he camera online for under $100....
