what year mileage condition and mods is on your Z?

edit: that kouki is worth say 8-12k depending on mods. finding a 98 is quite hard

Its a 04 with 20k miles and very lightly modded.

Nice car but it's still someone else's project. Like Duckeee said, vague description. Godspeed/Megan parts throws up a red flag IMO. Something tells me the seller is young (college student), bought this car off the person who actually did all the work then proceeded to "upgrade" it with cheap parts; now selling it to pay for school.

Or he's 37 years old and the swap was done in his possession:

I was thinking the same thing actually. It just looked very tempting and looked like fun. Looks like a no go.

Keep the Z & get a S13 or S14, they don't cost much (maybe 2-3 grand in great condition) & you can do the work yourself. Then boot the 350Z to the curb!!!!

As an owner of both i say keep the Z. Z's have that low end torque that makes it a fun round town car. A SR powered setup can be fun but you have to constantly mash it to get it up and going. Yes it's high price but the car alone is worth 4.5-7K being that it's a white Kouki(also depending on rust factor), The motorset 4K - 5K being that it's a S15 w\6spd. The rest is whatever! Def not worth a trade.

Do it! The Megan exhaust manifold and Godspeed intercooler is enough validation right there.

i say keep the z especially with 20k on the ODO. The 240 is nice but realistically its not worth the price hes asking.

BUY A 240 get a s13 as they are cheaper and the motor swap for the sr20 will be alot cheaper then getting rid of your z and buying "his" project. also im not sure but im from cali and those motors will have you impounded in no time! just some food for thought as the entire decision is yours.
