Default New HELP ME

Hey Guys,

I'm strongly considering buying a 2007 touring 350z. I have done the research and really think this is the car for me at the right price. However, I have one major concern about complaints I've seen around the internet. That complaint is excessive front tire wear. The threading or cupping was reported within just 5-10K miles in most cases. Most of the complaints were for the 2003-2004 models but some were on the 2007. I was wondering about just the 2007, is this still an issue and what can be done to fix this?

It's a sport car with road gripping camber. Some tires don't agree with that concept.

A sport car will surely have more wear than normal cars, that's the price of performance. Also if you mean the tire feathering issue, most owners should have taken care of it already.

Just helping you so you don't seam like an idiot.

Driven hard, tires will feather on most cars. Also the early Z's were delivered with messed up alignment specs. Could happen to any Z or actually any car sold on the market.

If you're really worried, get the alignment checked. Mine was way out of whack when I bought it. I've put 10k on my new tires and have mostly even wear all around. Don't let this hold you back from picking one up!

Annual alignments are the solution to the feathering and other wear related problems.

if you think 225 and 245 tires are expensive wait till you get into higher performing widths!
