The reason why Nissan put the tachometer in the middle was because they designed the car with enthusiasts who take it on spirited driving in mind. Nissan wanted the driver to be able to readily see the tachometer.

Everybody has their driving style, but the "correct hand position" is around 10 and 2 o'clock position on the steering wheel.

+1, you never see any racing drivers driving one-handed gangsta style. Pet peeve of mine...

I drive 90% @ 2.

I never use the speedo, especially since it is 3 mph off due to my tires being "wrong". I use my NAV for speed which is 99.9% correct.

I should have said mostly on temp, switch to TPMS & MPG/remaining miles.

+1.

It's meant to mimic to feeling of racing. Race car drivers know they need to go as fast as they can, which is why the tachometer is centered for them to know when to shift accordingly on the race tracks. Although they should be listening to the engine itself of knowing when to shift as well.

^Couldn't have said it better myself. I HATE how the gauge switches to the temperature outside. Obviously I got into the car and it was cold enough to ice, you dont have to remind me.

No one checks tire pressure? I leave mine on speed but I check the temp/tire pressure every now and then.

Stopwatch. Because every time I drive it's as if I'm in a time attack.

Lol jk. I usually set mine to display the speed or gas mileage.

Speedo. I have never looked at my actual speedometer.

I hate when the temp goes under 37 degrees and it pops up. They have been so many times I look and I go "holy **** I thought I was going 37mph, I'm going over 50!"

Maybe 1 day I will use that excuse on a cop. Probably won't work though.

It always reverts back to tire pressure as I don't have the TPMS correctly calibrated
