Default Your thoughts.. Am I just thinking about it too much? =/

Hey guys,
So I got my 04 ZR back in April 2010 with only 24k. Later during that year in winter I moved and it's summer all year round basically. Just gunna get to the point.. Lately I've been worrying about the cars mileage its about 100 away from 69k. I've thought abt parking it for just weekends but I love my Z. I think to myself just use it and have fun with it while you can but then those thoughts come in about using it too much. What do you think am I just thinking of it too much? Should I just keep using it and just enjoy it? you guys ever think abt this too?

Pointless thread ik but just wanna get some thoughts on this. Thanks

Why would you want to put so many miles on a rare classic?

I have over 70K on my 08 NISMO. It's just a car that's meant to be driven. So drive it!

That is a good concern and as you already see opions will vary. Myself, the zr that I just aquired is a second or lets say toy car, Harley replacement, and not our every day car. I do want to use the mileage wisely and timely. Every case is different and again its your car enjoy. If I were in a location like you were the weather is great all the time the miles would add up in a hurry.

Yeah I don't get why people park these cars too. I mean its not a Ferrari, value is in the rocks, and its not rare by any means. Drive that bad boy like you stole it!

Your thinking too much into it, with proper maintenance and car, your z with lots of daily "spirited driving" will last more than 200,000 miles stock, those numbers lower when you start going FI, rebuilding the engine, etc.

130k on my '06. This isn't a pre 90's supercar that'll break down every few thousand miles. Plus, there are waaaaay too many Zs on the road to care about resale value if that's a concern.

No offense OP but you should have stopped right there and clicked your browser refresh button to prevent this thread from being posted.

Just drive your Z and enjoy it while you have it. Nothing lasts forever.

I have a 2007 Z Base (64k), 2 Harley's 1993 (63k) and 2006 (13k) and a ZX-14 Ninja (3k). Needless to say, I drive the **** outta them when I can. I only worry about mileage to tell me when a engine rebuild might be coming, common things that tend to wear out at the specific milage or if my gas gauge isn't working properly lol.

Outside of that, everytime I drive my Z, my firewall can tell what brand shoes and socks im wearing and my wrist feels like its been though a work out. Enjoy your machines, they are built to break down eventually even with proper maint.

Also letting things sit long periods of time is worse then driving them every day...hands down.

It's a Japanese built car. The motor is bullet proof. Just drive it like you stole it.

Keep driving it, then when you think it can't handle too much more, get another low mileage Z and do it all over again!

Treat the car like a women. Ride it, use it, have fun with it. As long as it gets good lubrication, wear & tear will be minimal...
